Hey what's up Top Flight Family! Good to see you guys! First off here's my β€emoji because there's never a video I don't watch till the end with you guys!! Thanks for another awesome showcase. Japan looks like a very kool place to visit! Riding on the Shinkansen is definitely one of my things to do one of these days! And Carmen, I would've passed out too on the train with it being so quiet. I noticed that a lot of places you guys went, it was very quiet. I loved the dress up session photos…you guys are world fashion pros! Y'all need to go holla at Pharrell over at Louis Vuitton and get some of that endorsement money!π― You guys find so many wonderful things to do and I appreciate you sharing them with us! And I'm glad you kept the wiiilin' out footage of Sean and Ella at the end. They make me laugh! Well as usual, be well, be safe and see you guys in the next one!!!

I have been loving these Japan videos!! Iβve been with my husband twice. First time he proposed to me, and second time was our honeymoon. Now we have a 1 year old son and I would love for us to go there as a family one day! β€ I watch all of your videos, but the Japan videos bring back so many memories. My son also loves your girls, he giggles and smiles whenever he sees them on tv π₯°
It's great seeing Kyoto again. I love Kyoto and the region. I was there in the summers of 2017/2018/2019 while traveling solo through Japan for weeks. I've taken the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Fukuoka which is far.Β
You all look so cute in your traditional Japanese clothing. While I was in Kyoto in summer 2017, I went into Daimaru department store and bought a kimono/yukata out of a heavy fabric. The sales ladies there wrapped me up and we had a fun time laughing as they kept making the obi tighter. LOL! I don't speak Japanese and they didn't speak English, but we understood each other and after they finished and I was all dressed, they applauded.Β
As for footwear, I had to wear my own footwear as Japanese footwear was too small, but the kimono fit fine as I'm around a U.S. size 8-10.Β
I didn't wear the kimono outside as it was too hot to be walking around in it in the summer heat. Instead, I would get up more than an hour before breakfast to start putting it on to wear to breakfast at my hotel. I'd get out my MacBook Air, sit it on the desk in my hotel room, and every morning go through the grueling steps from Youtube tutorials on putting on the obi and tying a bow. I didn't have a clip-on bow, but instead chose to do the whole bow thing from scratch. I'm now about ready for a clip-on bow. LOL! I had to deal with that obi and bow three summers to Japan and I've also worn my kimono here at home on special occasions.
Some of the hotel staff would even applaud me when I showed up to breakfast in kimono in Kyoto. LOL! Two of the hotels where I stayed on all three summers, knew me quite well as we had hit it off really well on my first stay. Plus, being African American it was a bit difficult to forget who I was. LOL! Each summer, I also had the same private driver for a half day, but only on one day out of staying a week or more in Kyoto. But, he also drove me out of the area to see other things as I would set the schedule. I got him off of YouTube and he worked out great and also spoke fluent English.
Greetings from Los Angeles
