Today Moe and I went to Nagano prefecture. Nagano is well known for having many mountains to climb. While it might not have the tallest mountain in Japan which is Mount Fuji it does have alpine ranges.
To prepare for a hike up Mount Akadake we stoped at Chino which is a super quiet town. There was not much to do here but it is a popular spot for many hikers who would use this location to launch their hiking adventure.
To pass time during a free day we had, we went to Shirakaba lake, here there is much to do. We saw a teddy bear museum, a theme park, an arcade, a water park, a zoo to name a few things. However, we were here just to pass time until we could check into the hotel so all we did was walk and enjoy the sights on offer.
