Taipei is an amazing destination. You can spend days exploring, and the food is indeed delicious. Note that you can make many great day trips as well!
Perfect timing on this video. I am going to Taipei in September. Hopefully it doesn't rain too much!
do you think Taiwan is a country?
We have a trip to Taipei in December but will be arriving @ TPE @ 1A.M. which is outside the service hours of the Airport Express line. Would you suggest taking a taxi or UberXL to our hotel in Zhongzheng district? We are six travellers with just one carry-on luggage each. I'm kind of hesitant to take taxis (been burned too many times by taxi drivers in international destinations 😅).
Looks like an awesome destination. It does remind me a lot of Japan.
I like the way how you introduce Taiwan, very informative, clear and detailed. I hope you and your family had a wonderful trip in Taiwan.
I'm glad to see that you can go up to an observation deck at the top of Taipei 101 even though there's a fee which is understandable. From all the food to the neat sites, I'm sure I would really enjoy Taipei!
Thank Chris. Definitely some great tips there. I am starting to research for when we go next year. We have a couple of days before we board our cruise. Will need to take some notes. 😊
I live in Taipei and have to disagree strongly about Youbike. It's probably the best way to get around the city center if it's somewhere not near an MRT. The buses are hopeless since you end up spending time either stuck in traffic or getting thrown around since all the bus drivers seem to have a constant supply of road rage.
So exotic! Love it!
Hi Chris. Great info on Taipei. I believe that Taipei is an underrated tourist destination. You can enjoy the historical and cultural areas. in the West and the modern parts in the East. An amazing place to visit for sure. Take care.
Thank you for sharing your travel insights to exploring Taipei! I’m going to plan a trip near November or December 😅😊
just curious. at time stamp 14:40, she selected number 2 on the credit card reader. wouldn't that not be local currency conversion and charge u that upcharge the reader showed of 8%? wouldn't it be better to select number 1? was that a mistake or what was ur reason behind that. thanks!
I used to live in Taipei. One of the hiking places I’ve been to is the tienmu trail. It’s a nice trail and I’d recommend that you go there some time in the future.
Chris, are you ready for the hurricane 🌀 rain On Sunday??????
First thing you need to know about visiting Taipei is that it is the capital of a sovereign, independent country with democratically held elections named Taiwan.
Went to Taipei alone back in 2019 and what I love about it are the narrow back streets where you might to discover something.
I love Taiwan! It’s safe, people are so nice and the food is delicious!
Thank you for your excellent videos 🙂 I will visit Taipei in October this year.
hey chris thanks for your video – on the topic of money would u say that bringing $80 USD per day in taipei is enough (excluding accommodations?) will be going this fall – thanks!
I’m so glad you said Taiwan and not China!
Recommending anyone to come to Taipei in winter is preposterous. Constant rains that can last for days and the weather so cold (no insulation in the buildings!) that you will need to wash your hand in a hot water every 2-3 hours to keep your fingers moving. High humidity is what helps you survive the summer weather, not a con.
Who needs Expedia when you have Chris for your travel guides!!
Love it, enough information to put it on my next trip. Thanks
Wish Taiwan should be my homeland
Everything is cheap and foods was the best I can say
23:28 The funniest part of any video you had all year.
Thanks!
