  1. Masks are ineffective unless they are an N95 mask. I don’t trust the CDC. I will cancel our cruise if masks are required. Use lots of hand sanitizer but no masks!!!

  2. I requested information about the February 2025 Panama Canal cruise through your website over a week ago. Still waiting for a reply. I would like to book while group space is still available.

  3. I still wear a mask whenever I’m in close quarters with other people, including the ship’s main theatre. I avoid elevators as much as possible. Not only do I want to protect myself as much as possible, but I want to protect other people too. Whether masks work or not I still feel like I’m taking a little control of my health.

  4. Masks are nothing more than mind control and by seeing some comments here it's working. People will get sick till the end of time, why now do people think it's a death sentence? Made it 50 years without them and still kicking. Just more government overreach but some people really make an effort to find excuses to wear a mask that does NOTHING. If you are that scared or concerned, why not stay home? Amazingly scared people these days.

  5. As far as masks go, I have always said I would rather wear a mask than a respirator. But don’t forget the hand washing and sanitiser gel — equally important for keeping the virus out our bodies.

  6. If masks ate back we will cancel all our 5 booked cruises. We are simply done with that and not complying. Same with vaccines.

  7. We are looking for a cruise that goes one way to Japan from Floroda and them around Japan, the trans pacific ones don't go around Japan, trying to only fly one way

  8. Yes because masking worked so well the first time. SMH And no, if it's mandatory, I will not go. I've pretty much decided on full blown civil disobedience this time around.

  9. Travel is one thing, to journey is another. To journey allows us a greater understanding of the world around us, the people and cultures we encounter, gives us knowledge how all the same we are.

If you want to wear a mask , wear one, if not don’t.

  10. Last year after a Canada/New England cruise 3 out of 4 of us had covid, we spent 3 days in New York and the next day after getting home the first of us showed symptoms. We wore masks but not out in fresh air and the streets were crowded in NY so probably should have outside as well. However I have also been on 2 other cruises during the pandemic and only one if those I wore masks and no sickness. The big difference was how much covid was around at that point in time. Im leaving to Alaska in 3 weeks and because covid is on the rise i will definitely be wearing one for this trip. I just wish people would wise up and be kind. Who cares if i have a mask, it is a choice and i want to protect myself and others!

  11. Took the Sapphire Princess Aug 9th cruise to Alaska. Overnight in Whittier and then a 4 hour flight home. No problem because I have had four shots. WRONG!
One day later I have COVID. 2 days after that my travel mate was positive too.
Guess masking is in my future.

  12. A few things:

No more masks please! It doesn’t really make sense because we take them off when we are eating or drinking anyway.

Travel insurance: I purchase Cruise protection plans from Holland America line and Norwegian. HAL’s Cancel for any reason plan is great and reimburses you 90% of cruise cost. NCL’s cancel for any reason plan only reimburses you for 50% of cost. In Canada, I haven’t found a trip cancellation insurance that covers pre existing conditions so I have to purchase the ones that are offered by the cruise lines. If anyone knows of a trip cancellation plan in canada that covers pre-existing conditions please let me know.

NCL: I cruised on NCL Star in July and the long wait to get to security was atrocious. We stood in line for 1 1/2 hours even though we arrived at our assigned block of time. Is this always the case when embarking on an NCL cruise? I have a medical condition and am unable to stand for such long periods.

  13. Meeting travelers from all over the world is one of the greatest perks of traveling. I always travel solo and I learn so much from these intrepid travelers!

  14. Definitely won't wear a mask, and if it is required, I will be cancelling all my trips.

  15. After a 5 hour flight in 2018, sitting across from a man who was obviously sick – coughing, sneezing, etc., I got the flu and ended up with pneumonia. I got so sick that the docs wanted me to go into the hospital, but I was able to avoid it, luckily. Besides that, hubby has asthma and his doctor has told him he needs to be more careful about crowds and travel. We're both in our 60s. SO we wear kn95 or kf94 masks when we feel we need to. We've worn them on several flights and sometimes we wear them in other crowded spaces. I don't see that changing, and we're both fine with it. We want to travel as much as we can!

  16. Masks are nothing but a way they can control you – and does very little to protect you from Covid. Just go by the science – you can get it – with a mask on. Period.

  17. Latest research proves masks dont work. Let it be personal choice. If the cruise ships asks for masks I will be cancelling my holiday.

  18. We just got back from an Alaskan Cruise. All 4 if us have covid now. I agree, could of got it any where. But wish we had worn mask. Could have reduced our percentage of catching it.

  19. I agree with ghjcmo. I go out of my way to not wear a mask because they are not effective. Thanks for the informative video!

  20. Personal preference on masks, so far! We wore in the theater, so far! Otherwise we try to distance from passengers, hand wash and using the hand cleaning when using the stairways. We have avoided using the elevators. We are on 12th floor, so can gate down or up for most activities using stairways!

  21. Our own doctors recommend we wear N95 masks whenever we're indoors around people we don't know, so we do. When worn properly and used as recommended, N95 masks have been proven to be very effective in preventing COVID AND OTHER AIRBORN RESPIRATORY VIRUSES!!! Why would anyone doubt the actual science??? It has to do with the size of the airborne particulates vs. what masks can screen out. It's very simple science!

We already know that COVID is only very rarely spread via surface touch. However, norovirus IS often spread that way, so unless you want to spend several cruise vacation days quarantined in your cabin due to either virus, protect yourselves.

We also just got the RSV vaccine. No ill effects whatsoever, and we should be able to avoid the deep lower respiratory symptoms experienced by too many patients our age.

  22. Just got back from a 14 day Mediterranean cruise and on the flight home from London Heathrow airport many people were coughing a lot! I accidentally packed my masks in my checked in bag so I couldn’t get one. A couple days after coming home I tested positive for Covid-19. I hadn’t been anywhere except home and to work. Felt tired a couple days and then started feeling sick and tested. So Covid is definitely still a thing. May need to wear masks again in large gatherings.
