This time we will introduce you to the “14th Minato Mirai Dai Bon Odori”!
The 14th Minato Mirai Dai Bon Odori was held at Rinko Park on August 18 (Fri.) and 19 (Sat.), 2023. This traditional summer festival was held in front of an excellent location overlooking the Port of Yokohama. The festival features the familiar Bon Odori performance including the local “Ondo” (dance song) of Yokohama.
The “Minato Mirai Dai Bon Odori,” a summer tradition in the Minato Mirai 21 district, is danced while the pleasant sea breeze blows.
It was “Hamakko Ondo” that was played in the middle of this song. At first hearing the piano intro, one would think that it was not like a Bon Odori, but the tune had a nostalgic atmosphere and was emotional! It was a divine song perfect for Bon Odori.
