Korean Air feels almost like a company stuck in time. It’s as if you teleported an airline from the early 2000s to the present day. Generous cabins, old-school entertainment systems, delicious meals, and a charmingly outdated corporate identity.

  1. My only flight on Korean air so far is a domestic flight on a 737-900, from Jeju to Seoul I took last year. The plane was practically empty, so I enjoyed loads of room to move around. The crew was also, frankly adorable. Whenever I fly a new airline for the first time, I like to get the crew to sign a piece of paper with the airplane I’m flying printed on it, as a momento. I kindly asked the three flight attendants to sign, using a translator app to show them what I wanted. They all stated at each other and just laughed after 10s. Then we started chatting a little, turns out they never came across an avgeek before. They look quite young, so I think they could be junior crew learning the ropes on domestic flights. I look forward to flying Korean Air again, on a proper mid-long haul flight this time.

  2. Countries like Austria, Germany, the UK and like 20 more are currently (April 23 – Dec 24) exempt from needing K-ETA. No need to spend unnecessary money 🙂

  3. As a asian, i used to feel a little cold in ‘Western’ carriers (Delta, KLM, Air france, and Air canada) compared to ‘Eastern’ carriers (Korean air, ANA, Eva air)

  4. As a SuperM fan and fellow Trash Taste lover, and a loooong time viewer of this channel, you have no idea how happy this video has made me.

Flew Korea Air from South East Asia to Vancouver and back again. I love their bibimbap, super tasty even if I compare to what I can get in Korea. The entertainment system is very lacking but I can always pre-download videos. There was an almost 12-hour layover for my flight and they very kindly arranged an airport hotel room for free! I was only flying economy.

  5. being a kpop fan and a casual listener of superm, it's so funny to see them featured in a video that has nothing to do with kpop otherwise
i'll hopefully be flying to seoul next year and i really hope i get to fly korean air and see that safety video myself

  6. I love it how simple flying is now doing sow much brutally honest series.I love it!

  7. One note about entry to South Korea: until the end of 2024, citizens from a bunch of countries (basically all the "first world" ones) are allowed to enter South Korea for tourism without applying for the K-ETA. Sinply search for "K-ETA waiver" or "K-ETA Visit Korea Year" and youll see the details. I just went there last week and got through on my British passport by only filling in the immigration card given on the plane.

  8. I feel we truly witnessed the awakening of sassy David in this episode and I for one am here for it

  9. I flew Qatar 777 in 343 layout and it was very tight especially 3 wide men shoulder to shoulder and me being in the middle. that's what the airlines think of their customer when they'd rather make the aisles wider than the customers seat… although you might be grateful for it if SHTF

  10. I Have Experience Korean Air Long Haul Economy Class From Amsterdam Schiphol-Seoul Incheon I Like The Product.Great Trip Report

  11. Wow…. looks like a really nice airline to fly with. I hope that Korean Air do a review of their cabin temperature. I found it is always more comfortable to have the cabin a little on the cooler side and use the blanket if necessary. Warm cabins can make you feel restless.

  12. Very impressive. If I ever need to choose an airline to get to Europe the detour via Seoul might be worthwhile.

  13. OMG – I absolutely LOVE that model plane collection!! How amazing! I've never been to Vienna, but now I have even more reason to visit. As for the video, I felt genuinely happy for you David, and I thank you for sharing your passion with us in this video as well as your entire channel.

  14. At 3:15 that is the exact reason why Vienna is one of my favorite airport 😅😅.Boy at 6:02 even some airlines don't give that much of legroom in premium economy

  15. Always wanted to ask, and I love the explanation of how you used to spot at Vienna, what sort of work do you do that allows you to travel all over the world? My family and I fly to Vienna because it's the best airport with access to Bratislava, where we are from! Please let me know, thank you and I'm looking forward to more trip reports from Vienna
