1934年にオープンしたことに始まり、2018年6月にリニューアルした「上越市立水族博物館 うみがたり」。
日本海をテーマにした「うみがたり大水槽」や、360度アクリルガラスの海中トンネル「うみがたりチューブ」など、日本海に生息する生きものを間近で楽しめます。
マゼランペンギンは日本一の飼育数を誇るとのこと。

You can enjoy the creatures that live in the Sea of Japan up close, such as the “Umigatari Large Tank” with the theme of the Sea of Japan, and the 360-degree acrylic glass underwater tunnel “Umigatari Tube”.
It boasts the largest number of Magellan penguins in Japan.
