The journey started from Zing Zing Bar before Bara-la-cha- la pass situated at Leh -Manali Highway.
Bara-lacha-la pass is famous for Suraj Tal (सूरज ताल) which is India’s 3rd highest lake above sea level of 16043ft(4890)M.
Suraj tal सूरज ताल remains frozen for about 6-9 months.
This is one of the most important highway for indian army. It opens in the month of June for civilians as BRO(Border road organisation) takes care of all these highways they have to work under extreme conditions.
