新橋にある昭和レトロなビルをめぐってみました。
新橋駅汐留口目の前の新橋駅前ビル(03:08)は、佐藤武夫により設計され1966年に竣工されました。
1階の飲食店街はなんとも言えない昭和感がたまりません。
静岡新聞・静岡放送東京支社(08:49)はメタボリズム建築として有名で丹下健三の設計で1967年二竣工されたビルです。インパクトのある見た目が特徴です。
錠前や建具金物の老舗、堀商店(14:50)のビルは関東大震災後の昭和7年(1932年)に完成した歴史のあるビルです。
最後は新橋の顔とも言えるニュー新橋ビル(18:10)です。特徴的な外観と昭和の雰囲気をビンビンに感じることができる建物内は、今でも1日で約1万人が訪れる商業施設です。

新橋のシンボルであるニュー新橋ビルと新橋駅前ビル周辺では再開発が行われるようで、もうすぐその姿を消してしまうかもしれません。気になる方はお早めに行ってみることをおすすめします。

We took a tour of Showa-era retro buildings in Shimbashi.
The Shimbashi Ekimae Building (03:08), located in front of the Shiodome exit of Shimbashi Station, was designed by Takeo Sato and completed in 1966.
The restaurant district on the first floor has an indescribable Showa-era atmosphere.
The Tokyo Branch of Shizuoka Shimbun and Shizuoka Broadcasting System (08:49) was designed by Kenzo Tange and completed in 1967, and is famous for its Metabolism architecture. It is characterized by its impactful appearance.
The building of Hori Shoten (14:50), a long-established manufacturer of locks and fixture hardware, was completed in 1932 after the Great Kanto Earthquake and has a long history.
The last building is the New Shinbashi Building (18:10), which is the face of Shinbashi. With its distinctive exterior and the atmosphere of the Showa period (1926-1989), it is a commercial facility that still attracts about 10,000 visitors a day.

Redevelopment is planned for the area around the New Shinbashi Building and the Shinbashi Ekimae Building, both of which are symbols of Shinbashi. They may soon disappear from the scene. If you are interested, we recommend that you visit as soon as possible.
