Aomori is famous for its apples and accounts for over half of Japan’s total production of the fruit. The apples in Aomori are large and juicy and have a sweet but refreshing taste. There are many places in the city where you are able to try apple picking, which proves to be a popular activity amongst the locals and the visitors.
Apple picking sites include the Aomori Kanko Ringo-en, Aomori Ringo-no-Sato and Apple Hill which is featured in this video.
