Florida’s Cypress Tree Boardwalk Trail at Goethe State Forest is one of Old Florida’s best kept secrets. It is home to The Goethe Giant, one of Florida’s largest and oldest Cypress trees. 1. Thank you for the wonderfully relaxing video! The shot at around 8:05 really put everything in perspective 😮! Florida is beautiful 😍! I've been binge-watching your videos all day today. Was just on the "Six Gun Territory" video when you uploaded the new one 😊👍🏾👍🏾

  2. 9:20: "Hmmm… What can I say that expresses what I'm thinking without degrading my own video or making me seem immature? yeah, I think I'll just let the images speak for themselves" The silence is golden, Jay. Well done. I'm the immature one.

  3. That's incredible 900 years old. I love trees all the history it's seen, fabulous. Thankyou Tampa just lovely, I like these explores your videos are so good such a variety 👍😘

  4. If so, that tree is older than any standing structure in Florida — heck it's slightly older than Mesa Verde's Cliff Palace over in Colorado! 😱 It's a shame the forest has to deal with invasive and destructive species like pine beetles, but it's SUPER cool they find a way to use the wood, at the very least.

  5. TJ watch out for that 20 ft Aligator lurking. I need more Clearwater Beach videos so don't get eat out there. That tree would make a nice table.

  6. Wow! that tree was IMMENSE, but more importantly Tampa, your Old Florida vids are IMPRESSIVE, dare I say "Most Impressive"! Love it@

  7. Great video! It's on my list of places to go. Very cool to run into Joe. I follow his videos on YouTube as well. Love his stuff.

  8. This is beautiful! What a lovely place to visit and enjoy nature. The giant Cypress is magnificent. You did a wonderful job capturing the atmosphere. Thanks Jay for a tour of this magical place! 🙂

  9. Binge watching your vids I missed whilst was away. These nature vids are just the most awesome thing ever – am a nature dude myself ! Thanks buddy! Look foward to much ahead in 2020!

  10. Great video man. My neighbor has the most beautiful bald cypress tree I've ever seen in his front yard it's has to be 3 to 400 years old it's huge

  11. I stopped by there several months ago. I have been passing through that forest on my way to Cyrstal River for some years. I finally decided to drive out the road to the trail head but DUH I did not have any bug spray. I started down to the boardwalk but had tohead back to car because I was covered with mosquitoes! I will try again after seeing you video here. Also thought this was interesting ….History of Europe – The emergence of modern Europe, 1500–1648 …In 1607, 104 English men and boys arrived in North America to start a settlement. On May 13 they picked Jamestown, Virginia for their settlement, which was named after their King, James I. The settlement became the first permanent English settlement in North America Oh yeah the Spanish had been in Florida for almost 100 yrs before that… 1492 ! WOW

  12. 9:47 the tree on the left looks like a trail marker tree, kinda hard to see from the video but if it is and its that tall its an old tree as well

  13. Cool video Tampa Jay, gotta love the outdoors. Something totally peaceful about getting away from everyday life and adventuring n the country.
