Today we will be flying from Southampton airport on the south coast of the UK to Jersey airport in the Channel Islands on a Blue Island ATR-42 that is operated by Flybe.

This will be part one of two videos about Flybe and the Channel Islands, You can stay tuned for next weeks video where we will be diving into the more political side of Flybe and their financial troubles over the past few years. As well as that we will also be taking the Q400 back from Jersey to Southampton but that will all be coming this time next week.

  1. Nice video mate! Are you ever going to have a meet and greet? I would love to meet you! Perhaps would you also consider a plane spotting video where you go to New York or Washington Dulles?

  2. Nice review! Sad that flybe will be extinct. And also nice to see your home airport! Plz pin or ❤️ this comment.

  3. No safety card? That doesn't seem… legal. Thanks for the cool trip report, I'd never heard of this airline before your video.

  4. Really sweet trip report! I really enjoyed it! Great music choices! That 30 year old ATR42 looked pretty nice for the age! I would be been very anxious if I wouldn’t have had data and looking for aircraft! Leaving me very excited/anxious for the next video to continue this journey!

  5. Lmao “far more important one” I loved the little backstory that you made, awesome video keep up the great work! I always have loved you trip reports and I’m currently rewatching all of them.

  6. Awesome Travel Video Mate! In my opinion your travel videos are actually some of my Favorites

  7. Jersey is ridiculous. Your internet will not work, neither will you be able to make calls. It used to be a wonderful place to take a holiday, but sadly, not anymore.

  8. This was my baby along with it’s bigger brother the ATR 72 for 25 years in the US. The guys did a nice job on the flight Did you notice the tail number? Great video. Well done! Nice job.

  9. There is an bowling alley and food place 5 min walk away from the airport it’s £5 for 2 games and you have loads of arcade machines and fun things to do there aswell, I’m guessing the plane you saw was an old jersey airways plane, funny story as the company started around the 70’s and then Flybe bought the company in around the 90’s or 2000’s. There’s not much to do in jersey now as a lot of the touristy places are closing down and we have lost a few known fun places, the best places to see in my opinion is the 5 mile road for the beaches, hospitality and food with restaurants and also there is a golf course there, town was a pretty good spot back in the day but there’s not much now for tourists, gorey is a very good place for tourists as well as all the castles such as mont orgueil castle, Elizabeth castle and st Aubins fort, hope this helps when you next fly over 😁

  10. jersey does have 4G as i use it all the time consdering i work at the airport, G-ISLH is currently not in the island as its gone for maintenance somewhere in Europe. In the mornings after 9 the airport does go a bit quite as usually thats when the south flight and LCY arrive in the hour of 9 then it goes quite for a couple of hours. Blue islands is its own company and was franchised by flybe, blue islands still operates SOU, LCY, GSY and now that are doing a couple if new routes from jersey to EXT and BHX and have been doing EMA

  11. Amazing trip report! I've flown on Blue Islands' G-ISLK, one of their three ATR 72s which wore the Flybe livery. G-ISLK and 'LL are now in the new livery along with the white 72s (LM and LN), and your 42 (LH), but the other Flybe 72, G-ISLI, has now left the fleet.
