The Kushiro Shitsugen Norokko Train is a sightseeing train that runs through the Kushiro Marsh, the largest wetland in Japan, between the stations of Kushiro and Toro. Since the train runs slowly, passengers can enjoy a view of the vast nature through the train’s large windows. You might also see wild animals such as Sika deer and red-crowned cranes, or canoers paddling down the Kushiro River. The train operates only from late April to September.
