I recently stayed at a new capsule hotel in Asakusa, Tokyo, which is popular among foreign tourists.

The hotel is conveniently located near the famous Asakusa tourist spot, Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate), and there are also bicycles available for sharing right below the hotel.

    Thank you for this interesting video.
    It is really lucky that this has not become popular in Europe. Or in Sweden anyway. Dormitories? We have that on the so-called hostel, in Sweden. Calling something with dormitories a hotel is completely wrong. I'd probably rather sleep in the car than spend the night in something like this…

    Amazing, cute little rooms! They look cozy for a budget, and plenty restful! Also, yes, As you said in the video a lot of people like myself have been telling you about trips or moving to Japan. as you know my GF and I are moving there next year! She's attending school to become a translator for those who do not speak Japanese, and also those who don't speak English there! This is her dream!     how is the temperature in the Tiny Room? I'm not sure if you mentioned it. I have a hard time sleeping when it's too warm or stuffy.

    I have always been a bit put off by the lack of privacy in capsule hotels but the added blind really would make a difference.

    Thank you for the relaxing and interesting video! The wallpaper in the rooms was beautiful to see. I'm curious why you said the one with the red and birds was so representative of Japan? Was it the color? The pictures? Or just that it was very typical of Japanese art?
    You've shown us other nice capsule hotels that were less expensive that also looked good to me, but this one did have a touch of class…no free food or alcohol, though!

    I’ve been in Japan 5 years ago during a heatwave, trains were not functioning well but everybody was so nice, they gave fans and refreshments to my daughter. The food was delicious too, I can find some katsu were I live in Australia but nothing compare with the genuine stuff in Japan.

    Thanks for your videos, watching them make me nostalgic from that wonderful holiday I had there and make me want to come back !

    I would be interested to see some of your travel logs outside of Japan too, I like your quirky comments and different perspective, keep up the good work !
