Arriving in Osaka from Kyoto, I experience the country’s nightlife capital by wandering around Dotonbori, before visiting Osaka Castle and Aquarium the following day.

I’m Jason, a full-time British Travel Vlogger and YouTuber who’s been to 61 countries. I’ve been travelling around the world full-time since 2017.
I have travel series’ from many of the world’s best (and least) known destinations. I filmed the first vlogs on my channel in the summer of 2016 after spending a year living in China. A proper solo trip around Eastern Europe followed after graduating from University in the summer of 2017, taking me to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo. This marked the start of my efforts to turn vlogging into a full-time job.
After that European trip I explored much of Asia: visiting India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Korea and Kazakhstan.
I have also travelled to North Africa and the Middle East fairly extensively over the last five years, filming videos in Turkey, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel and Palestine.
I’ve travelled to North America just once as a YouTuber, visiting Mexico in 2021. Though I have been to both the USA and Canada, this was as a child on family holidays.
In 2022, I took my first trip to Sub Saharan Africa, visiting Kenya and Tanzania, before heading to the Middle East, stopping in Dubai and Lebanon. Europe followed, covering both the Greek and Turkish sides of Cyprus, and afterwards going back to Italy for the second time to cover Milan and Sicily. I then visited the Caribbean for the first time, covering the Dominican Republic, before heading to both Brussels and Amsterdam, then covering Taiwan and the Philippines in Asia. I finished off the year with a trip around Morocco.
I started my travels in 2023 by finally visiting Paris, taking the Eurostar from London. I then headed over to Qatar for a few days, before heading to Asia, with videos following from India, Singapore, Taiwan and Japan.

You are such a brilliant presenter. Never had any desire to travel the world until I started watching your videos. Is there anywhere left in the world where you haven't been! Maybe become the first YouTuber to travel into space?!

The way you speak is so soothing, I could listen all day 😂
Man, you have such terrific videos! I am headed to Japan in Oct. Will be on a cruise. We stop in Osaka but I really want to see Kyoto. We are only there for the day, so I am happy to hear the train makes it only a 1/2 hour trip. Unfortunately, I will miss the Osaka nightlife so thanks so much for those visuals. We stop in Hiroshima after Osaka and will be there for two days….so looking forward to your next video.
Osaka people are so much more open and funny than people from other parts of Japan. Also most of Japanese comedians are from the Osaka area. Japan is great – we just returned from Okinawa which we left before the Taifun No 5 arrived. 🙂
When you see these cities in Japan and the quality of the people and their lives you should also remember that Japan lost the World war, so now think of the crap place that you live in the USA or what was great Britain. Proof that the majority of the people are crap too.
Stayed in this hotel and can’t recommend it enough. The price is unbelievable. Similar rooms in nyc or hotel would cost you $300 or more.
I am currently visiting Japan for about 15 months, dividing my time between Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo. I began this trip with a stay in Osaka for 3 and 1/2 months, and am now in Kyoto. One thing that may be important to know about Osaka, is that there are now major efforts to renovate and upgrade the city as has been previously been done in Tokyo. But it is true, Osaka has a more "relaxed" feel to it, as opposed to Tokyo. This is probably because Tokyo is the business and political hub of Japan – sort of like New York and Washington DC rolled into one.
Osaka have been called "Kuidaore town" . "Kui"=eating, "daore"=fall downing. So we can enjoy much delicous and cheep foods same as your video till we cannot walk by full sromach.
Enjoying our trip. Thanks again John in Chicago
I was there in August of 2019. Major Japanese cities are visual sensory overload. I didn't realize that until I got back in LA!
สวัสดีค่ะ 🙏
Imagine a whole uncut 12 feet crab on a plate 😂
Wagyu beef is also raised (on grass) in New Zealand where it is readily available
