Bogota is the capital city of Colombia, and one of the largest cities in Latin America. It is the political, economic, administrative, and industrial center of Colombia and it’s known for having great nightlife, restaurants and cafes.

    Wow, great video shots of the city! Love the wide shots, much needed for people who haven't been there!

    I'm from the USA and live near Washington DC. I've been to Bogota twice for vacation a week at a time in the past few years and I've had a great time both times I've been there! It's an awesome city if you love big city landscapes with many things to do! If any of my fellow Americans are thinking of visiting just imagine something a long the lines of NYC or LA in terms of what you're getting into. So many food options, musems, parks, bars, and of course, the nightlife is awesome.

    As a tourist I felt pretty safe in the majority of areas I've been to, however, I only really have been to the big tourist areas(Tuesaquillo, and then La Canelaria all the way up to Chapinero, Zona T obviously). I took normal saftey precautions and didn't run into any problems. Just dressed like a local, not flashy, and tried to keep my picture use to the popular areas. Didn't wander the streets at night, just would uber where I needed to go.

    my ex gf used to live in bogota. then she moved to america. she has very crazy stories, they drugged her mom with scopolamine, and they also kidnapped and raped her sister. and her sister used to love to have sex with men that were 31 and she was only 15. but her sister actually loved it. her 33 year old bf had a big dcik and the little girl loved it. her current husband is a crybaby and he is a pill popper and she said he has a small dick. but she made a baby with him so now they have to learn to get along.

    crazy stories. colombian people are very emotional and show their emotions, they dont hide it. i loved that about them. i talk like a colombian now when i speak spanish i speak it like them because i was around there colombian family for the past 5 years lol. its as if i got adopted into a colombian family, they were very sweet and very loving family, even if they make eachother crazy they still love each other. once the mom chased my gf with a knife and started stabbing the door to get to her, and also once the mom dragged my ex gf naked in the streets of america right before we had a date planned. so i had to pick up my gf crying and dirty and cut in her back. i took her to my home, and i cleaned her, and i took care of her. a stranger recorded the video and he showed it to me, the look of terror in my gf eyes as she lay naked on the floor is such a humiliating image that still sticks with me to this day…one of the sickest things i ever had to witness. .. .to this day my ex gf has a scar on her back. ever since that day i hated her mom more than anything, how dare she do that to my baby. how dare she. she lost all my respect since that day. sad that i tried to get along with the mom. but i could never open up with her, i know they hated me so much because they thought i was too quiet and stuck up. but actually i just knew how fake she was. they are now glad i am out of the picture because i was the only guy who has seen the ugliness of that lady. also my ex gf hated my mom. cus my mom gets annoying when she gets drunk lol. omg i hate relationships so much hahhaha. anyways

    i really want to visit bogota. i wanted to visit with her. she used to talk about the delicious bread and exocitic fruits. she was very smart. and she loved her country dearly. sometimes she would cry and say she wanted to return to colombia. she wanted to take me but she was here in america seeking asylum,so she could not leave. and she didn't want to get married just to get a green card so we eventually split up after 6 years. we both got tired of the relationship. it felt as if it was going nowhere. she wanted a house and kids and marriage. and i could not afford it at the time. then eventually i started to think marriage was a scam. i didnt want kids at the time, i didnt want a family. i thought i would. but i didn't and guess what. years later to this day i still dont want kids, im so thankful, im single, no kids, no divorce. im free. not having to co-parnet, or pay child support.

    she started to fall in love with her co-worker, she used to always complain about him to me. but i was smart and i knew that was the guy that was always on her mind.i didnt get jealous actually i didn't even care. i stopped wanting to have sex with her. and i was losing attraction to her. she was also losing attraction to me, she started nagging more, and one day she showed me his instagram and that's when i knew that i had to start making an exit plan. i started to distance myself from her, the writing was on the wall, and my days were numbered. he was a nerdy looking dude. with a fake it till you make it personality, i started to dress nice again and i started to lose weight. she was smart and started to notice these things as well. sshe thought i was cheating, and i dont blame her, she had good evidence lol. but it was really a good way to end the relationship. im in very good shape now. and i eat much better. now they are now in a happy relationship, and he will never have any idea of how evil the mom is. so i'm sure they all get along great, i dont think the mom likes her new bf tho, i dont think she really respects him… weirdly i felt the mom did respect me tho. they will probably get married soon if she doesn't find anyone better. she was obsessed with marriage, and korean romance shows on netflix. she is a very good person, i never trusted anyone more than her in my life. but i would never want to get back with her. it just didn't work out. it was mutual.

    im very thankful for the time we spent. thanks to her i'm going to colombia. im now planning to go in 2024 to all the places she wanted to take me. the festivals. the restaurants. i still rmeeber all the tips and tricks she told me, and how to be safe etc… i will go to medellin as well. once she showed me a video of medellin ever since then i knew i had to visit. she will forever have a little place in my little heart. we were just two little things in this world, that was all. when i am in colombia i will say a thank you to her, in my head, for inspiring me to visit. and then i will have adventure time. can't wait.
