Hi me again – regarding protecting our fur-babies from ticks n fleas – I don't know how different our SA species are, but my daughters doggie tragically passed from biliary / tick bite fever – she was devastated for over a year ! Try Olive Leaf – good anti-parasitic and GARLIC – supposedly makes the blood "taste" yucky to pests 🦋
My wife and I have been giving our dogs food grade diatomaceous earth and coconut oil for a little over 2 years. Haven’t had issues with flee tick or mosquitoes.
I envy you two. You have the best of both worlds, you have each other and life as a couple, but you give each other the freedom to go off and do solo trips. You are very lucky.
Awesome podcast! Please make sure to tell your viewers it MUST be Human food grade Diatomaceous Earth…..all we use for animals….sprinkle on coat, try to get everywhere…..kills fleas and internal parasites….most animals will consume it in wet food too. 😊

Amazing life we all get to live on this planet ha? A moose 🫎 Linnea takes me back to building my log house in Washington state 35 years ago whew so much wild life always where we built.. I had a cougar in yard one winter scared my horses.. you two are awesome and wish you both the best scenarios with your rigs and the 10k run hike in back country and the arrow 🏹 shoot like busy bee's ya on.. a question maybe for next week? I really hope you read this comment understanding that I adore the both of you and your pets. I truly do not want to offend. But please don't go too far down this alternative medicine road. Especially when it comes to the well being of an animal. Obviously if your animal has a negative reaction to something then take action to avoid it. Completely understandable!! There are many different meds that can be used instead though. That's why there are so many. And unfortunately pets are dying everyday because these natural alternatives rarely work. Some do. Most don't. And some animals have reactions to these natural alternatives. Because natural doesn't mean safe or better. A lot of the scary chemicals in these products are naturally occuring. There is no reason for an animal to suffer when there are actual proven and safe methods of flea and tick prevention. The amount of misinformation that is spread on apps like TikTok is awful. So, please be careful and do extensive research and make a proper educated choice. Which I'm sure you are already doing! I wish you all the best! And again, I know you both take incredible care of your animals. And I by no means mean this as an insult or offence.
