So exciting to visit a local Tanabata Festival in Nagoya!!! 🎊
Tanabata is known as the Star Festival (星祭り, Hoshimatsuri) and it is the legend of Orihime and Hikoboshi. As the Milky Way separates these two lovers, they are only allowed to meet once a year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month 🙀
However, the date of Tanabata varies by region, but the first festivals start on 7 July. The celebration is held on various days between July and August ☺️
