A magical meeting along an ancient Japanese pilgrimage route.
The Japan we see on the evening news – or even on a modern-tour – is a mix of ancient castles and towering skyscrapers. What often gets lost is the feeling of Japan itself – especially those rural areas filled with elderly Japanese that are so rarely visited by tourists and camera crews. And yet this is the most endearing part of Japanese culture. As this generation passes, it slips away, soon to be gone forever.

Wonderful two-minute story and it just shows how little time it takes to fall in love with a complete stranger. This 72 year-old beams with life, determination, and know-how. How many things can we all learn from such a great soul? Bravo for introducing us to this gem along your pilgrimage route.
The Peach Lady is a great character <3
She reminds me of my nana :'(
