Welcome to the Japan series!
Now that Japan has re-opened back to travel, I want to share with you my travels and maybe inspire you to go there too.

Intro 0:00
I have always been fascinated by Japanese culture, their delicious food and their language.
I wanted to see them for myself, experience everything Japan had to offer.
I have kept all my memories and it starts with a flight.

Nagoya castle 1:13
The next day we took the train to Nagoya castle. First, we checked out Nagoya Castle, which was constructed by the Owari Domain in 1612 during the Edo period.
We were able to walk around the Ninomaru Garden, a traditional Japanese garden with beautiful maple trees and grass lawns.
We even got to watch a tea ceremony at the Ninomaru Teahouse!
Thank you to the wonderful free English-speaking tour guide courtesy of the Aichi Goodwill Guides Network.

Ramen 3:20
After that, we went on a mission to find dinner and stumbled upon a secret food corridor in the station. The fake food displays in the windows were so cool, and we ended up getting delicious ramen and a box of cream-filled buns from Hattendo bakery – my favorites were matcha and custard, and chocolate.

Motorikyu Niji Castle 3:51
That night, we went to Motorikyu Niji Castle to see the naked flowers display. It was a bit spooky wandering around in the dark, but the light displays were absolutely stunning.

Suzaku Crossing 5:21
We stayed in this really cool hotel where each level had a them and ours was fire.
Unfortunately it’s closed now 🙁
