  1. I spent 3 months in New Zealand backpacking through the country. I did a fair bit of hitchhiking and didn't have to worry once about my safety. Also no predators (minus sharks) and only like 1 poisonous spider found in the country. I felt so incredibly safe during my entire time spent there. Highly recommend going if you haven't been.

    Love the videos!
I am planning on starting my adventure exploring the world in January of 2024 and these videos have been very helpful.

  2. I'm a little uneasy traveling as a gay man but I'm taking all the precautions and using discernment because I ain't letting fear stop me from going to where I desire.

  3. Nice choices! Definitely interested in Singapore and Bosnia and Herzegovina (the name isn't just Bosnia! 😄).

  4. Awesome video Christian! Glad you loved Bosnia and Herzegovina so much. I live in Zagreb and I would say it’s the safest city in Europe. As an adolescent girl I used to stay out late and walk home 2-3 hours after having some dark beers (gulden draak and duvel, go figure haha) and dressed in fishnets and whatever edgy fashion I was into at the time. There wouldn’t be a person in sight who would harm you or look at you the wrong way. This was back before Uber came to Croatia, and regular taxis were just too expensive for a highschooler/college freshman. There would be only city maintenance people and people who go to work really early! I would even be offered a ride by men sometimes when they would see me walking home all alone in the night, and would safely drive me there without any incidents (but I don’t recommend it generally). I’d also put Slovenia really high for safety in Europe.
When it comes to Japan, as a lady I wouldn’t feel so safe there. Having talked to some Japanese natives I found out about the creepy culture they have. Apparently there is a lot of groping in the packed public transport and they have used panty wending machines 😓 Not very comfortable thinking of going to a place like that where part of the culture are those creeps (otaku). I’d only go there with a male person.
Have you seen any of this?

  5. I've so far only been to 9 countries so far and out of those, Scotland wins for me hands down. I was extremely surprised by how safe I felt in Edinburgh even at 12am when the streets were all dead and I was just walking around the city. Even the darker and somewhat sketchier streets were devoid of people. There was no trash on the streets and it was so well kept and orderly. This applied to some of the other smaller cities that I visited around the countrylike Pitlochry. Overall, I was amazed by how clean and safe everything was and felt.
