We have had the privilege of engaging with locals from different walks of life, asking them about what they love and what they wish could be different about their homeland. This video is a treasure trove of insights, personal opinions, and a testament to the diversity that exists within this unique culture.
Throughout our journey, we discovered that people in Japan have a lot to say about their country. Their praises were effusive, highlighting aspects like the outstanding customer service, the ubiquitous politeness of people, the breathtaking natural beauty typified by sites such as Mount Fuji, the enduring Samurai spirit, the globally adored anime culture, the exquisite food, the cleanliness of their cities, and the high level of organization that permeates through society.
However, every coin has two sides. While there was much to love, the locals also shared some areas they feel could use improvement. They talked about the pervasive shyness that can sometimes limit personal expression, and the intense work culture that can sometimes tip over into excess.
