Moving to Tokyo next year (with the caveat that any sort of planning requiring visas is still unreliable!), and Kichijoji is right at the top of my list. I'm a musician (and avid listener), and there are some really great live houses in the neighborhood, along with the shopping, food, Inokashira Park, and the usual Kichijoji attractions.
