Forget what you would do for a Klondike Bar, what would you do for a bucket list dream cruise. A cruise that takes you from United States to Italy, Greece, Israel, Egypt and more without ever getting on a plane. Would you do it? What would you pay? Let’s talk about it.

  1. My sister and I have looked at repositioning cruises to "cut down" on the flying time. Ideally, we want to do fly over and cruise back mostly so we don't have a long flight back and get home quicker. It hasn't happened yet, but still working on. (FYI – I have limited vacation time, my sister is retired. So the limitations are on my end!)

  2. In April of 2018 we sailed on the NCL Star from Miami to Barcelona=14 days. Stayed in Barcelona for 3 nights & boarded the brand new Horizon for it's Inaugural Transatlantic to NYC. Stayed in NY to visit family. Just domestic flights from & to Texas where we used to live. It was Fabulous!

  3. Tony B…ever taken a cruise where guests embark & disembark at ports? We see it all the time watching the Mega Cruise Ship Show

  4. Although I can't afford it , I don't think that is a bad deal for a 42 day cruise. The is equalization to six 7 day cruise at $238.10 per person and you are going to some really exotic places. Off course once you add in the other costs like tips, excursions, drinks and gambling you are looking at a lot more money. I don't know that I could handle a 42 day vacation. I love cruising but it is an intense event for me as I am not a relaxer when on vacation. I am a doer and tend to sacrifice sleep. That is not to mention the challenge of eating healthy and reasonable amounts of food when I vacation. While this sounds like adream trip, I think in the end it would be overkill and too much of a good thing

  5. Perhaps the English would want your kidney for post-Brexit pie production, but I seriously doubt the Dutch give a Flemish hoot about your internal organs.

  6. We’re thinking of doing the HA 17 days ,next year, round trip Vancouver to Hawaiian islands. As we live in Vancouver I love the idea of not having to take a flight. Would take that 42 day cruise if I had the money but Israel is a bit iffy at this time.

  7. I love too fly but my partner does not . I have been looking for a way to get back to Europe before my bucket runs out and the only way is to take a transition cruise over, do the med or what ever then back to UK and the Queen back to NY. Rent a car and drive home. And guess what, right she doesn't drive.

  8. I’d do it if I had the money! It’s the only way to do a Mediterranean cruise for me! I try not to fly anymore. Too many hassles.

  9. Very interesting trip. Although, I don’t like those flights to Europe or other far away places, this cruise is too many days at sea! Love the new format and seen Jenny more .

  10. Hey Tony, If you want to cruise in Europe from the USA and not have to fly, why don't you contact a travel agent and see if she can put together something along these lines (somewhat kidding): Repo from Florida to Spain, one or more med cruises, cruise or Eurorail up to England and then cruise Canard to NYC, then Amtrak to FL. BTW covid cancelled our plans for almost this exact trip.

  11. I think that’s a good price considering what you get. I live in U K and feel the same about Alaska I don’t want to fly there . Wish there was something like that available from U K to Alaska.

  12. What’s funny is that there’ll be people in Europe interested in this cruise and they’ll be flying to the US to get on it 😂

  13. The price seems pretty good. We just did 12 days in the Med on Celebrity Beyond in The Retreat and that was £10,500 for the two of us

  14. Would be a GREAT cruise without all the transatlantic days. Wonder if there is one?

  15. I don’t fly and live in Australia so I’m very restricted in we’re I sail,so I’ve been STH Pacific numerous times done New Zealand looking at circumnavigating Aus and return trip to Hawaii,so there is still a lot to cover🇦🇺

  16. I worked for Holland America at their Mckinley Chalet Resort in Alaska for three seasons. I may look into this, sadly I'm a solo cruiser.
