Now that we’ve pretty much rapped up most of the Chinatowns in Norcal (that I know of), it’s time to head south to LA!!
The 2nd largest active Chinatown in California, Los Angeles’ Chinatown was established when Chinese railroad workers settled in the area. The Chinese also assisted in building the city from ground up, as Los Angeles was barely a city when the Chinese arrived. The original Chinatown was located in what is now El Pueblo de Los Angeles, but was destroyed due to city development plans, and a new Chinatown has been established north of the original location in the 1930s. Chinatown today is home to a vibrant Chinese community, featuring Chinese businesses and temples which caters to both locals and tourists.

Shout out to that person at 2:50 minutes wearing a parka in 80 plus degree weather.
The Phoenix Bakery is known for their French fries 🍟 do your research!
Another good video!! Keep it up!
Your intro always makes me laugh! Also, the “wows.” I’m going through some of my videos and I didn’t realize how much I said, “wow” 🤣 As always, another great vid!
I've enjoyed a lot of your videos. Keep up the good work!
Hey man! Been binging your videos since Japantown.
I'm traveling solo to SF on August 21-28 and I was wondering if you could show me around Chinatown.
Also is it safe for me to walk around alone with a GoPro in SF?
Keep it up my dude!
man i’m here from the salinas china town you got a new subscriber💪🏻i’ll always watch your videos now.
Here's a Chinatown worthy of an adventure! I follow another guy (XiaomaNYC) who speaks fluent Mandarin and Cantonese. He recently visited a Chinatown in Mexico. Check it out! Definitely worthy for Chinatown enthusiasts like you and Coach.

Wow you made it to L.a Chinatown. This amazing
You can go east to the San Gabriel Valley. It’s like the new Asiantown.
Wow, LA Chinatown is way better than San Fran. I used to go to Chinatown to purchase Hong Kong movies and music albums but now HK music/movies industries are very much dead, I don't go to Chinatown as much. I really miss the golden days of Chinatowns in the 90s.
This Chinatown does not have much residential. All the customers live in SGV.
Chinatown is dead. More Viet immigrants than Chinese. And last couple years ALOT of gentrification. Shops and plazas being torn down for new business offices and condos. They can have it. San Gabriel Valley / 626 is alot better.
I live in ktown Los Angeles and I used to go hang out a lot in Chinatown Los Angeles and I loved the energy there , atmosphere , food, streets , etc .. my friend came to visit from San Francisco and I took him to Chinatown in la and he didn’t like it .. he said that the one in SF is much much better and this Chinatown is the worst one lol I disagreed with him
.. I have been to the one in sf but was young and I forgot and I like the one in New York but this one in La isn’t the worst one .. what do you think ?
Interesting virtual tour of LA's Chinatown! Thanks for producing this! Greetings from Australia!
