Today we are traveling to Singapore from the Philippines! Although we are sad to be leaving Philippines, we are so excited to share our first impressions of Singapore with you! We have always been interested in visiting this ultra-modern city-state because we have heard so many things about visiting Singapore. Our travel day to Singapore begins in Cebu, Philippines, and is a quick single flight directly to Changi Airport. Singapore’s airport is considered the best in the world by many people and organizations, and we are finally getting to see it for ourselves! After a quick stop to get sim cards and exchange money, we had the chance to finally see the famous Jewel at Changi airport which was a small-bucket list items for us.

Our first impressions of Singapore started off more positive than we could have possibly hoped! After some good luck boarding the train from the airport, we were quickly mesmerized by the diversity of the people in Singapore, as well as how ultra-modern it is! And the feeling of safety! Singapore is one of the safest countries in the world, and we could feel that as soon as we disembarked from the train and arrived into downtown Singapore, even though it was midnight!

We were lucky to be traveling to Singapore from the Philippines because the route is very simple and is traveled by many people every day.
Singapore is a great vacation spot, and we have learned that many Filipinos travel to Singapore for holidays. Even though the flight isn’t long, the experience is very different! Our first impressions of Singapore were more positive than we could have hoped. I think the only trouble we will have while we are here is the price of being here! Singapore is not a budget-friendly destination, often being referred to as the most expensive country in the world, and we can’t wait to see if the price tag is worth it during out visit to Singapore.

======================

Hey there! We are Nicole and Mico and in March 2021, we quit our jobs, sold our belongings, and began traveling the world! We never thought we’d be making travel vlogs on YouTube, but after realizing that we had a unique opportunity to share our adventure and make the world feel more familiar and inviting to anyone watching, we took the leap and picked up the camera! We hope our videos show how wonderful, delicious, and friendly the world can be.

  1. Great place — They call Singapore a “fine” city (you get fined for everything) 😁 chewing gum, spitting, a dirty car….

  2. I’ve been watching this nice young couple since India, nice to see their fun and adventures together now in the Philippines and soon in a new country,I like their excitement and positivity,it’s uplifting to watch ✌️❤️🇬🇧much love mico and nicole

  3. Nicole and mico,you must visit the waterfall in the Singapore airport terminal,it’s unbelievable ✌️❤️🇬🇧

  4. As a tribute to your trip to the Philippines, I marathon- rewatched your Pinoy series …haha. and as a proud Bacolodnon who hasn't been home for some time myself, it was indeed a nice trip down hometown memory lane. Thank you both for sharing , and here's to more N&M escapades! 😊

  5. …I'm looking forward to your adventures, in Singapore…absolutely loved the Philippines Vlogs. Take care and be safe…😎✈

  6. eating at hawkers is a must in Singapore both for the experience of different food culture and cheapness. Also do consider trying a mix of all the food at the hawker from the Malay/Chinese/Indian stalls. ( order a dish each if you can eat that much! ) if you like to see a different side after the touristy parts of singapore you can consider going to the Heartlands like Bishan/Ang Mio Kio or East Coast. Also do consider Bak Kut Teh ( its a peppery Pork soup ) a restaurant chain called 'Song Fa' which has afew outlets around Singapore makes a good bak kut teh ! and at Hawkers Mince meat noodles with Extra Vineger. Welcome to SG! Hope you have a good time

  7. Nice video, thanks . I agree with the widely held view that Changi is the world's best airport. (However, I'm confused – most western nations don't need a visa (and don't pay anything) to enter either Singapore or Philippines (PH still requires the – free – eTravel Health pass as of 2023).

  8. There are Jollibee in Singapore. And if you ever miss Filipino food, you can have them at Lucky Plaza Orchard prepared by Filipinos. Lucky Plaza and Far East Plaza are also 2 of the cheapest place you can have your meals at on the Orchard Shopping Belt.

  9. Thank you for viisiting Singapore and your wonderful comments about our Singapore. I loved your vlog. You guys can enjoy cheap food at our local hawker centres. There are many free places you guys can explore to. Cheers !!!
