Beware of a misleading route shown on Google Maps that goes through the highland. You can’t go beyond the Utsukushigahara Conservation Center.
It’s a breathtaking panorama from the edge of the highlands called Ougahana. When the sky is clear, you’ll see not only the Japan Alps but also Mt. Fuji.
