This was filmed LIVE in Bangkok…and we talk Thailand. Join me as I’ll talk about the condo evacuation that might happen, take you for a walk in the Bangkok Central Forest, give you my take on Oppenheimer, and chat about the execution that just happened in Singapore. Plus, we’ll do some Q + A and I’ll tell you a bit about my life before YouTube. And I’ll end the stream off with a trip down Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza, with a twist.
Grab a beer and let’s hang out. It’s Saturday Night Live in Bangkok.

Singapore is very very strict. I wouldn’t want to live there. Too scary.
What’s crazy about Asia is how prostitution is legal. They allow it. But not drugs.
you should change your output frames for your camera so it stops being all shuttery
Chris….loved this behind the scene style video….very interesting and learned a lot. I'm a movie theater owner in the states moving to Thailand June, 2024!
love the new set up chris it look bloody great fo the normal ones of ys who can watch ul
40 years ago when I was in the USN, we pulled into Singapore for some maintenance and were warned about the drug laws and spitting on the streets, etc. The ship-workers sold us some of the best stuff (thai stick!) we got during the Wespac cruise.
You could have flipped the switch to end the stream LOLOLOL cmon Chris
Been in June to Sand and Sea Riley recommended by you haha amazing place I saw some beer white with blue writing called MY BEER haha the best because of that !
Chris, I was recently in Singapore. Before you even enter Singapore, everyone has to fill out a travel form stating if you bring in any kind of illicit drugs, it’s punishable up to life in prison and or even death. So who ever tries to smuggle drugs into Singapore knows what they are getting into. So as bad as everyone thinks it’s not good for them to execute someone for trafficking, it’s just to bad. I smoke cannabis, but there is zero chance that I would even think about trying to bring weed into Singapore. Cheers Chris.
I do not like leo
Singha is my number 1 beer😊😊😊 taste is so much better.
Let's respect the rules of different countries … Why do you come to Thailand to retire? It's the same, no country is perfect … That's why Singapore is one of the safest countries in the world for families as they have a harsh stance on drugs.
Anyway I still love your YouTube channel cos it's entertaining and interesting 😂 keep it up
We just got to Thailand last night. Chilling in Bangkok today and heading to Khanom Beach tomorrow for a week. Back to Bangkok for a few days after before heading back to the U.S. Always enjoy the quality of thought that goes into your videos as well as the entertainment value of them.

Lanna Overseas Shipping is who I shipped to Thailand with in 2008. Excellent service. I left this comment yesterday but it's not here any more.
Love the fun you're having putting videos and even this livestream together, the short clips in between were so much fun. Thank you for doing this and I hope to see you in Thailand within the next year.
Lee Kuan YAW. LOL.
High-rise buildings usually require at least a 12m wide road access to ensure safety standards. In the case of Ashton Asok condo developed by Ananda, they rented land from the MRT to create a 13m wide road, allowing them to get a permit to build the condo from the Bangkok administration. However, this decision has led to a legal dispute, as residents living behind and around the condo feel impacted by the presence of a massive building in front of their homes.
Affected residents took the matter to the administrative court and filed lawsuits against various parties, including Bangkok administrators (such as the Director of Wattana District and Director of Public Works, the Governor of Bangkok Metropolitan Area), the Governor of MRT, and the environmental impact committee (but not the condo developer, Ananda). The accusations involved several issues that Chris had already discussed in the show.
The most prominent charge was related to the alleged wrongful use of power by these administrators, who granted a license to Ananda for building the condo. The prosecution argued that the MRT could not use the expropriated land for purposes other than public benefit.
Recently, the supreme administrative court delivered its verdict, stating that Ananda could not legally utilize the leased land from MRT and its title deed to obtain a permit for constructing the condo. Consequently, the condo building is considered non-existent under the law.
The situation's outcome remains uncertain, and there might be a series of lawsuits following this ruling. Since the condo no longer exists by law, it is possible that the bank will sue to reclaim money from the buyers, and the buyers may, in turn, sue Ananda to retrieve their funds. Additionally, Ananda might seek compensation by suing the Bangkok administrative team and MRT for their losses
Friend, for a one-man band, this is really excellent!
You go from live to video clip, to background music flawlessly.
Even Joe Rogan can't show videos properly on his Podcast (with 300 Million fund)
Very creative! Good job!
love the music selection. just right!!
Hi Susie and my hubs are selling our home and moving to Bangkok Thailand ! We are so excited! I we have been totally invested in planning for to retire in Thailand
More live streams!
Why is it 'retired' working for you.. when you own and run a luxury villa rental business in Thailand? Surely and truthfully it should be, 'Not Retired Working For Myself'. Can you see the irony in your channel name?
On board my flight to bangkok now can't wait to the be in the Land of Smiles! Big fan of yours! Definitely one of the reasons I was inspired to come to Bangkok. Hope I run into you on this trip!
Dig a tunnel for access, problem solved
So you can get the death penalty in Singapore for drugs, but not rape, according to the Penal Code Act of 2007. Ok 🤦🏾♂️
really digging the vibes from the stream room. especially the neon works. 🙂
Hi Chris! Enjoyed the livestrean tonight, although I never know about their "liveness". 🤷♂️🙂 In answer to the question about moving over and any questions you might be able to do a video on, I'm just about to sell everything here in Northern Ireland and move to Samui in the next few months 🥳🙏🌴. My main concern is whether to get a 30 year lease or to "buy" using a Thai company. I hear a ton of conflicting advice on this and don't really know what the actual craic is… 🤔 🙈🙂 Maybe your buddy Farmer could provide some proper advice… 🍻
Cancelled our island beach vaycay segment for ethical reasons (see Bali and Phuket CNN May 2023) Deciding about the rest. You are a wonderful ´ambassador’for Thailand. John
I tried switching to Leo because you seems so sold on it. After a case of Leo, I switched back to Singha and Chang. Glad you're trying different formats worked out well. Interesting story about the Ashton Asoke, who knows what the motive behind the road access permit actually is. Glad Adam and Noi are doing well with their real estate venture. Don't like the Singapore story but it's I'm not Singaporean, they run a tight ship, no gangs, no large organized drug funded crime syndicates. Compare Singapore to San Francisco one system is working one is isn't, there are more people are dying in SF from fentanyl than are executed in Singapore. I do not think THC/Cannabis should be classified the same as heroin or opiates (synthetic or otherwise). Legalization of Cannabis hasn't caused "Reefer Madness" Good show
You're doing a great job. Keep doing it. Hopefully coming your way in a few months.
There is a shipper in LA (they are Thai) they ship containers from the USA to Thailand.
As much as I luv Thailand and BKK and visit every year…it's not all sugar and spice..their politics and coruption not my cup of tea…at least they have joined a small part of the world where the Green does not get you hanged in places like Singapore…progress is slow…I'm 70 and amased that it is finally legal in my home in N Calif…hope the rest of the world catches up sooner then later…great show!…see you in Feb.
O man I missed the live podcast, can you do it again at 7 tonight ?
