  1. Thanks for sharing another side of Japanese culture ๐Ÿ™‚ Puts into perspective that there is another layer when one takes another look. Amazing and genuine experience visiting in Japan right now.

  2. Itโ€™s all about 80% rule! My Obasan said ask yourself after your first serving if your stomach is satisfied and comfortable; that should be the moment you should stop eating so you donโ€™t overeat. ๐Ÿ˜…

  3. Also I feel like they are so behind in the Medical field & sticks us much to Japanese medical Traditions.

  4. THIS RACIST FOOL DEDICATED HIS TIME TO BASH A COUNTRY LIKE JAPAN. TYPICAL FOR RACIST.

  6. You mentioned โ€˜working hoursโ€™ numerous times, but what are the Japanese working hours? I know they differ from country to country.

  7. Korea's biggest lies
No one looks like they should be in Kpop here ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…
    Greetings from korea ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท ๐Ÿ’• ๐Ÿ˜Š

  8. I learned years ago that Japanese people are not quiet! I'm now working in a Japanese university and eat in the cafeteria every day. It's SO noisy ๐Ÿ˜€

  9. Japanese fast food may not be as health as we imagine it to be, but at least it's tastier than the trash Westerners consume regularly. Whenever I tour Tokyo I usually end up loosing weight overall because of the amount of walking despite eating nothing but junk.

  10. I've noticed that at restaurants like Sushiro and Hamazushi, you can order "half rice" sushi. That rice does add up when you're eating a lot of sushi! You said the food wasn't necessarily healthy, but you didn't even mentioned the huge variety of candy, ice cream, and pastries here!

  11. Really killed it with this video. So the Japanese really like to cut loose at night, I think they would have a better time with if they had a drink made with 1 pint Irish stout, 1/2 oz. Irish cream, 1/4 oz. Coffee liqueur, 1/4 oz. Irish whiskey

  12. Hello.
    My name is Misa!
I am a rickshaw operator in Asakusa!

I am the public relations manager of my company!

Would you like to come to a jinrikisha photo shoot?
    I will invite you!

  13. I think, for most of the examples here, you can comfortably say "in general" when talking about them. There will always be exceptions, but in general….

  14. This is absolutely wonderful ๐Ÿ’ฏ this has to be the most unique video about Japan, so many eye opening things especially for newbies who may be scared about those supposedly strict rules that are in some videos which I just giggle at because I know better

  15. Currently traveling in Japan and everything he says is 100% true! When I first arrived, I would hesitate to speak on trains, but when I saw that everyone talks, I relaxed lol. The difference is that there is a clear effort to keep voices low. But this goes out the window when it's a group of teens or, like he said, you're out at night or on weekends.

  16. Me my Girlfriend was already going to the airport when almost all train in our route going to kansai was cancel because of the rain last June 2.. I was so nervous cause I only got 5 hours left to travel to kansai and we don't know yet what to do.. Good thing i remember about buses and we were able to arrive at the airport just in time..

  17. Too bad, I need the non healthy and delicious sushi plate to make up my day after the late trains that ruined it ! ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‚

  18. I've been planning a trip to Japan and have been shocked at how antiquated many of the websites are. If my research is any indication, I definitely feel like "stuck in 2000" is spot on.

  19. i can accept fax machines but FLOPPY DISCS??? LOL been there twice, the lies told there are all gone. its not how the net says it is and im fine with that. im not big on night party life. the food is fatty and salty good for flavor, bad for stomach and its so easy to finds such food.

  20. Dude, Shijo at night? Especially once you get closer to Kawaramachi? I got hip-checked by an obasan powerwalking down the street, saw loads of drunk old men holding each other up, and some girl was yelling at the couple of guys she was hanging out with. The next night, two muscle cars roared up the hill past us on Higashiyama-dori.

I loved it, tbh. Kyoto felt like Santa Fe in all the best ways.

Also, Kabukicho late at night reminded us of our own wildly famous skeevy part of town in Albuquerque. Not nearly as many obviously homeless people, but lots of semi-delinquent-looking kids smoking cigarettes, litter, and a distant siren. We didn't feel like we were remotely in danger because we're so used to it.

  21. This was refreshingly honest, and reflects my experience visiting Japan. I remember being surveyed on the street in Kobe or Osaka and was asked whether I thought Japanese food was healthy. After being there a few days and seeing all the sugar and salt on everything, my answer was a definite "no". Tasty? Heck yeah. Healthy? No!

  22. Japan is not less perfect than others. Many visitors are happy to have been to the country.

  23. Basically everything you said IS true… just not always. Japanese people are reserved, Japanese trains are rarely late etc etc

  24. the more time you spend in Japan…the more you realize that Japanese people are not as disciplined as you think they are…they also not bow frequently…..on trains during weekend especially at night there would usually be drunk people who can really get very loud……

  25. But even having the traditional japanese meal, is usually very rich in sodium (miso and soy souce), that for some people is not healthy.

  26. Your video is spot on!!! I have experienced every aspect of this video while I was in Japan and I canโ€™t wait to go back!! Great video as alway!!

  27. Hi Harb,
thank you for this video. Haven't experience some of the things in the video like frequent train delays, but i find #5 very very true. There are places where there is a lot of litter especially near vending machines or certain cherry blossom spots. There are just not enough bins or trash cans and I had to hold a empty drink can for almost hours before i just gave up placed at the next vending machine i saw. Some cherry blossom spots do not have trash bins and i had to carry my empty bento box all the way back to my hotel. That being said I still love Japan and will be coming again this November.

  28. If I wanted to buy a car to import back to Japan where is the best dealership to look at in Tokyo and osaka

  29. It's weird that Japan managed 120 years of progress and then got stuck in time. I think japan has heaps of potential. The population collapse is totally overstated.
I look forward to travelling to Japan.

  30. You forgot to mention convenience stores are not Michelin quality style food that westerners go wild for ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…
