Before the corona lockdown in Italy we went there to visit an impressive abandoned NATO command bunker which was built during the cold war and got abandoned in the mid 90’s.
It’s one of the coolest underground locations we’ve been to.

  1. You say there might be confidential info on that old pc? Now I have to go there, because I want to know some government secrets

  2. I really hate copper thieves most of the damage in that bunker has been caused by them it should be criminalised to instant custodial sentence.

  3. Ora come ora bisognerebbe riprendere in considerazione i vecchi bunker e rimetterli a nuovo . C'è vento di guerra .

  4. Base nato di Mondragone vicino Sessa Aurunca su Monte Petrino… abbandonata e restituita al demanio nel 1996

  5. You guys should carry Oxygen meter in some of those rooms incase of low oxygen, it might get used up in closed rooms that has mold and rust.

  6. That looks like an OTH radar facility.
That stands for over the horizon. They bounce radar waves off of the upper atmosphere and can detect aircraft coming in from very very long distances. Remarkable systems actually.

  7. at minute 5.11 behind the boy you can see a vent pipe with sunlight … probably the channel for the electric cables was not very long. However, in these places, more than asbestos, the danger is given by the Radon gas present in the air. I was in the military at Monte Venda and the list of the dead is long

  8. صلى على النبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم وعلى اله وصحبه اجمعين والله اكبر ولا حول ولا قوه الا بالله

  9. The ferrous metal was almost untouched, mostly copper and aluminum were cut and disassembled, and the equipment where precious metals in the form of gold and platinum could be contained was partially disassembled.

  10. Found the place, thanks to this videos the entrance is now filled with concrete. Do not even try, it's been shut down

  11. Crawling through that wire shaft is the stuff of my nightmares. Imagine not knowing whether or not that gets you in and you just have to crawl until you find something, or a dead end.

  12. Great Video. I was stationed at AFSOUTH and on occasion had to visit this place. It was amazing in its heyday. I'm visiting the region next year and hope to at least venture back the road to it. Any idea what road I should turn onto? I know there was an olive grove next to the turn, but that was a long time ago. Again thank you.

  13. Thanks for video, but, take more care, there is asbestos and heavy radon contamination in this base. You need at least a P3 filter and respirator.

  14. I would have scavenged any electronics used there. If I did not use it myself, there is always a market for that kind of stuff.
