The Southern Japanese Alps is a vast mountain range spanning the prefectures of Nagano, Yamanashi and Shizuoka.
It includes 13 peaks that are over 3,000 meters in altitude, including Mount Kitadake the second highest peak in Japan after Mount Fuji.
