ICE 3 is a family of high-speed EMUs of Deutsche Bahn. It includes classes 403 and 406, which are known as ICE 3 and ICE 3M respectively. The ICE 3 trains allow for passengers sat at the front of the train to see through the driver’s window. The trains have a maximum speed of 320 km/h (199 mph), the line upon which this video was filmed is the Frankfurt am Main to Köln line, which is a newly built very high speed line, which allows the trains to travel at near maximum speed, cutting the journey time to 80 minutes. This video contains clips from the journey that are filmed from the front passenger row behind the driver, the footage begins on the left side and is partially obscured by a windscreen wiper, but afterwards moves to the right side, for the crossing of the spectacular Hohenzollern Bridge and entry into Köln Hauptbahnhof.
