I always wanted to go somewhere quiet and peaceful, somewhere I can calm myself and indulge in. Ever since Japan has opened its borders, literally every tourist spot is congested. Choshi, however, is a less crowded yet outstandingly beautiful place.
Choshi, is on the east side of Tokyo. Many come here for the sunrise, however, I couldn’t make it, so I rushed for the sunset. I felt a bit sad at first, but when I saw the gradients of the sky reflecting on the lighthouse, I knew the trip was worth it.
I went on Christmas Eve, the winds were strong, gushing through the waves. Since it’s just by the sea, I would recommend that you try their fresh seafoods! Especially RAW, like sashimi.
Although I enjoyed the quietness during the day, when the night came, ngl, it was a bit horrifying. Perhaps it was a festive night, literally no one was on the streets at around 6-7pm. And some parts of the streets were not well lit, so it gave me the creepy vibes, as if someone were to jump out from the alleys.
In the next video, I’ll be showing another less popular place in Japan, so stay tuned!
