An Okinawan born and raised in Okinawa introduces various beaches in Okinawa with underwater videos.
The beach we will introduce to you this time is “Sakimotobu Gorilla Chop,” an interesting nickname for a beach popular among local divers in Motobu-cho. It is nicknamed “Sakimotobu Gorilla Chop” because of the 7 to 8 meter high rocky hill in the middle of the beach, which looks like a gorilla doing a karate chop.
The tides at Sakimotobu Gorilla Chop are gentle, so even grandpa the 65-year-old,, my 8-year-old granddaughter, and my 3-year-old grandson can swim safely and happily as long as they have their life jackets on.
In the water, there are rocky areas with many different kinds of corals and anemones. You can also see and swim with a variety of tropical fish, such as the clownfish and the rocky anemone fish.
If you want to swim in the natural sea of Okinawa on a sightseeing trip, Sakimotobu Gorilla Chop is recommended. Even with small children, it is safe. Please take a look at it as a reference.
