  1. So, The cempedak fritters in the malay shop are not exactly jackfruit , they could be part of the jackfruit family but they are so much better in taste wise, i hate jackfruits but loves cempedak especially when they are deep fried, highly recommend you to try . As for the coconut pink indian sweet , they are called coconut barfi. Thank you for making this video, you make me miss Malaysia so much .

  2. Welcome back Malaysia Ken saya follow awak sejak dari 2020 permata awak ke Malaysia from johor

  3. Terrific video. I've always found the food far more delicious in Malaysia than the same versions in Singapore. What's more, it is so much cheaper to boot!

  4. You're missing alot flavour for defaulting the Chinese sausage away….like taking bacon away.
You should mix everything in the claypot while it still hot in order all the gravy and chicken
could fuse the flavour…and balance everything in the pot.

  5. The highlight of Chinese claypot rice is the crispy rice crust you have scrape from the bottom of the claypot, similar to what Sokarat is to a paella.

The bao looks sad. Good bao is fluffy cloud like. You should find one in good dim sum restaurants in KL such as Jin Xuan Dim Sum etc

Comparing foods across races in Malaysia is also a precarious move, good thing you liked one from each race. I wouldn't choose the bao myself, but if you didn't, you would have ignited an internal racial war.

Would advise you don't try this approach again, not in Malaysia.

  6. You overbought Indian sweets πŸ˜…. Too many sweets for a dessert.. Malaysians take a piece or 2 of the Indian sweets as dessert, Ken.

  7. Happy Birthday Ken! You must try the delicious Chinese Vegetarian Cuisine with all the mock meat( some taste better than the " real" stuff too! There is even a Malay Vegetarian Outlet in Puchong which serves simply Out of this World Malay Vegetarian Food! These are things that really must be tried!

  8. pisang tanduk : horn plantain = looks like a buffalo horn, contains more starch than sugar compare with any other bananas

  9. Kampung Bahru is very interesting, village vibes close to a huge city. Been there with a private bike tour, very Nice experience to get to know the Area!πŸ‘ŒπŸ» enjoy it man!

  10. Your next trip are Indonesia.
Indonesia has 270m peoples, million of food and drinks

  11. makan tidur, makan tidur, ramai rakyat malaysia gemuk n boroi sebab semua makanan sedap2 belaka, paling best makanan di rumah hasil air tangan mak lagi sedap

  12. Ken Chicken Rendang in Malaysia delicious food Happy Birthday Ken Germany yes sir

  13. Sometimes, people that visit Malay tend to avoid Malay cuisine (Sabah Sarawak bumiputra food too) because they think Malaysia are like India or China (steorotype that most Southeast Asia country get)

  14. I'm from Sri Lanka, Malaysia is our family holiday destination for the past 20 years and I'm a Formula 1 fanatic , watched practically every race till they stopped in 2017. Its our home away from home and our top shopping destination. Haven't been there since COVID.

  15. Teh o' ais kosong means didn't have condensed milk. But still have coarse sugar.

  16. chempedak is not jackfruit…it taste way more delightful and more sweet compared to jackfruit….you should try it coz it is very malaysian and we all love it….many foreigners dunno chempedak goreng….most underrated delicacy

  17. the band 1975 not respect malaysia culture and law. come to malaysia and promote lgbt and kiss same gender.

  18. Org putih pndai Malaysia,tp kadang sedih tgk ada yg xblh berbahasa Malaysia walau dilahirkan di Malaysia.. terbaik.. Selamat bercuti Bro..😊😊😊😊

  19. You should mix the rice and chicken with your fork and spoon as soon as you get your claypot chicken rice because they are still cooking. Otherwise the rice at the bottom will become harden.

  20. Happy Birthday to you Ken. I wish you good health and good fortune. You are so brave that you eat different foods and share the experience with us.
