Join me as I travel back to my second tiny home in North Florida and watch one of my more informative and longer videos about my 8×16 Incred-I-Box made by Incredible Tiny Homes from Newport, TN. At the end of the video, you will be rewarded as I have invited you into my home to see the complete inside. In addition, you will see how I got water hooked up from my water hose and how I removed the grey water out of the tiny home. Also, I will explain the need to caulk the gaps or the seams within the walls and between the window seals. Then, I will tell you how much I have spent on home improvements “above and beyond” the initial cost of the tiny homes that I purchased from Incredible Tiny Homes. It is a longer video than normal. However, it is filled with good information and quite visual.

  1. Have you considered turning your 🛌 along either wall therefore allowing room for a nightstand or floor to ceiling cabinet for extra storage? Consider making a wall shelf to place your two burner induction cooktop on when not in use? That way you’ll always have countertop available for whatever you might need such as food prep, etc. Sorry to be so personal but where does one dump their composting toilet? 🏡

  2. Being beneath a pole barn gives you outside porch coverage area whereas you might consider additional tall storage compartments as well as a picnic table or collapsible table for dining, cook prep area, card playing, puzzle making, etc. 🌻

  3. We purchased one of those roadside barn style sheds for $12,000. Ours is 16×40(biggest we could find). We hired someone to finish it out, since we lived five hours away at that time, including adding windows and an extra door(stuff we now realize we should have asked for to begin with, when we ordered our shed). Cost to finish it out into a one bedroom(with a huge closet), one bath/laundry room, and a kitchen/living room combo was $22,000. ($34,000 total) We intended to live in it for a couple of years, while we built a house. We moved in during the fall of 2019. Then covid hit. The cost of everything skyrocketed, and we are still here! But we're managing ok. We built a huge deck on front, and a decent sized covered porch on the side ourselves. We're still planning to build our house, but the set back hasn't been that rough. We moved from a 2400 sq foot house on a tiny lot, to a tiny house on 23 acres with a huge pond! Life is good. Bonus points: We have made more friends here, in the four years we've been here, than we did when we lived in a neighborhood full of people for fifteen years.

  4. I would like to see how big your freezer is and also I noticed under your tiny home that your plywood flooring is just exposed….do you plan on insulating or covering the bare wood?

  5. 2 separate induction tops (available from Amazon) would be best. As someone else said, it would be easier if you use 2 pots and you’ll mostly use just one of the burners 90% of the time. If you need the second one, you can pull it out. Just subscribed to keep up with your journey.

  6. I appreciate how you commented on how time consuming it actually takes to caulk, prep and paint.

  7. Where is the air conditioner???? Also, putting this tiny home under a pole barn is excellent. I can't believe that the tiny home would be insulated enough to withstand Florida heat if it were out in the open. The issue of rainwater intrusion into the exterior seams has also been prevented by the pole barn. Looks like the wood window framing above the sink is raw wood (not sealed with varnish, etc.) and it will discolor or mildew unless it is treated. In Florida, an interior should be kept at less than 80 degrees to prevent the growth of mildew. There just seems to be no free ride on these things!

  8. Did they forget your microwave, shelf for microwave and what about the two burner counter top cooking area?? I’m pretty sure all the incredible came with these features

  10. Alot of rv-ers use the pvc for waste and sinks instead of the stinky slinky. I would do the same with one of Randy's tiny homes.

  11. Hello I think you have done a super job on two ith with respects to additional costs. Looking forward to seeing more?😀

  12. Amazing. I think you touch on some very key points, which is buying the Incredi-box (2 in your case) is only half the battle..lol. There's no one way to go about it obviously, but between primer/paint, weatherization finishing touches, furnishings, light fixtures, small appliances, washer/dryer, custom steps, patio/deck, outdoor firepits, grills, gardening supplies, new hobby "toys" & so on & it's easily well over $5k-10k. Not all the aforementioned will apply of course to everybody, but maintaining the home up to "spec" just as if you bought a home anywhere else is akin to healthy pride & self-respect. I've seen other vids of ITH buyers & it can take a few years to finally get just about everything they wanted inside & outside accomplished. Congrats on your journey..been rooting for you!

  13. Hello from Crawfordville 😊❤ been watching Randy and Amanda for over a year and was wondering about these Tiny Home living.

  14. Hi. Just letting you know I've just watched from southern South Australia. Love your little house. Question, will you put a barn door or similar across the bathroom? 😀

  15. This is a perfect retirement home! No loft, no stairs, no climbing. Just a simple, streamlined layout and everything you need within reach. Tiny looks so cute with all the paint done. Thanks so much for sharing

  16. Wow! You have come a long way Rob! Congratulations on near completion of your homes! All your hard work and planning has really paid off. Come see us in Carolina.😊.

  17. Very nice compact tiny home. Are you planning on adding a Mini-split for air conditioning and heating ?

  18. I think I would hang a lite from the ceiling or wall to have more floor space. Maybe a shoe rack where the lamp stands now. I subscribed to your channel when u first started it! . maybe a small stoolunder the counter where your cooker is now. Good luck. It will be nice having 2 places to visit.

  19. Great job! The place looks so cozy and comfy! Good luck with the rest of your project. I bet you're eager to move in. There are lots of neat things to do and see in FL, and lots of great food to eat! ❤

Tip: consider the plastic, cling-on, window film, for your door windows. They sell it at Lowes/Home Depot, and it comes in different styles. It's also really easy to apply. Just wipe the window with Windex & air dry, cut the product to size, apply, and press down. (We use the Frost design for our doors, and one that looks like stained glass for a small window on our stairs) They're inexpensive, still allow a soft light in, and can take the place of expensive blinds or curtains for privacy. Our friends live in a brownstone, and use them for all the bottom windows, facing the street, so they can have the drapes open for light, but still have privacy. 😉👍

  20. I remember when they were starting out with those homes. I know your area, I used to live there, in and around Havana, too.

  21. I just found and subscribed to your channel. It's great! I couldn't do all the things needed to finish but it looks great!😊
