No matter where I go, street food is one of my favorite things to try and experience! In Kyoto, Japan, there are 3 different areas where you can typically find street food
(that I know of)

1) Higashiyama – especially on the street of Sannenzaka, you can find so many vendors. Here we tried Yatsuhashi, Matcha Buns, and Mitarashi Dango 🍡 to name just a few things!

2) Arashiyama – on the Main Street in this area, there are
numerous street food vendors. Here we tried potato croquette, pickles, and ichigo daifuku (which was my favorite)

3) Nishiki Market – this is Kyoto’s most famous market that is over 400 years old! The food wasn’t super vegan friendly, but we were able to find a couple of items, including ichigo daifuku again 😅

Let me know which of these you’d like to try!
