as someone that also has the rare Congenital Myopathy form of muscular dystrophy (Mitch would be familiar with our group of disabilities as Jerry's Kids marathon) it was nice to see a news article of someone with my same diagnosis. Literally the first time in my entire lifetime. as for accessibility; it's more hit or miss in the US than most people realize. private businesses aren't required to be accessible; it's just in their best interest as a business to be so if they can be (ie more customers). i've often run into things you might expect to be accommodating that were not, like optometrists or dentist offices etc.
