Cantonese food is in abundance throughout the Guangdong Province. Here I travel to Guangzhou from my home in Dongguan to see how fish markets are done in China.
In this moderately-sized market I was able to get a nice lobster and Dragon Tiger grouper. Once the catch is prepped, I head up to one of the restaurants in the area to have it served up in my choice.
I feel like there is so much I don’t see throughout this city and hopefully I can crack the code and experience some of the street food culture and just overall cuisine of the region.

  1. I always enjoy your videos like this. But fool you paid 100$ to literally get served poop. That's obsured. Even the mcds dollar menu doesn't give you bile

  2. Awfully disturbing death not helped much by the awfully disturbing death that a lobster can subject a snail to. I get the distinct impression that something is not quite right about life in general.

  3. Bruh, if I can ask you one thing,
please refrain from eating animals/fish that had to be butchered right in front of you.
The way that inhumane mofo cut up the lobster & fish is absolute disgust.

Learn to develop some sympathy for the poor creatures.
I am not asking you to become a vegetarian.
We all gotta eat what we gotta eat.
But witnessing the life of a creature taken away in such a brutal manner and enjoying what came out of it is NOT quite the same as buying frozen lobster or packaged fish from the supermarket.
There is a different feel to it if you know what I mean.

I would really appreciate it if you can stop uploading videos like this anymore so that some of the viewers won't be so disturbed.
BTW I am a subscriber to your channel and I thoroughly enjoy your videos.

Just wanted to give you my honest opinion on this particular video.

  4. 6:13 $96 for 2 main seafood dishes for one person? No thank you. Looks appetizing and getting live food chopped up adds the novelty factor but the cost is prohibitive for the average tourist or I suppose any plebe in China as well. Maybe not for those employed in the finance sector .

  5. 59% of the comments are talking about how good the food looks
30% of the comments are complaining about the price of the meals
10% of the comments are grossed out by the killing of the animals
1% (me) "Wait a second! He's in a restaurant?! With people?!?! Isn't he afraid that he'll get killed by the Coronavirus?!?!?!" 😱😷

  6. I felt sorry for the lobster until I saw the finished product haha. It looked amazing!

  7. Is there any way to formally consult with you on real estate and teaching? I’m currently a homeowner and aspiring english teacher but looking to get into rental property while teaching overseas. At 30, I need a change…

  8. I get such a nostalgic feeling when I hear and see scales being removed from a fish. I remember being about 4 yrs old watching my dad clean fish. Simpler times 😊

But my gosh, that lobster dish looks amazing.
