Ichigo ichie is an old saying in Japanese which means to treat every encounter with someone as if it were a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I believe cherishing each encounter is what the Nagomi experience is all about. In one word Nagomi Visit is “ichigo ichie”
Hello I’m Masako and I’m Shiro.
We love to talk about cultures and food and eating homemade meals together. It is a great pleasure for us to see guests get to know and like Japan more through the visit. Moreover, I hope to become great friends with you even after the visit
People tend to think Japanese people are shy but we want more people to know there are many locals out there like us who would love to get to know you. We also want to learn more from you and what aspects of Japan you are interested in.
Visitors usually get surprised at the many facilities in our house, for example our restroom and bathroom is separated into two parts. This is usually surprising for visitors. Japanese people usually have storage space under the floors. That is also surprising for visitors.
We hope our visitors enjoy the nature that surrounds our neighborhood and feel refreshed.
Depending on the season we can visit the neighborhood matsuri festival together. We can cook together. If you are interested we can also go to the local market together.
So I hope to build a great relationship with our guests. I hope to go to their home country and meet them again. I want to do that. That’s my hope.
Let’s enjoy a local homemade meal together and make the best memories of your trip to Japan.
Thank you! Bye!
