For travelers to Japan! The Narita Express ticket counter is extremely crowded during this period. If your destination is Tokyo, we recommend the low-cost bus, which is cheap and comfortable. How crowded is Narita Express really? How empty are the buses? I actually took a picture of this, so please use it as a reference for your trip to Japan.

Thanks for sharing this. I wonder if there's a bus that takes you all the way to Asakusa or Shinjuku.
Thanks for the reminder. Next time i'll take the bus. I took the Narita Express in January and May when the lines were half as long. The vending machines do not take credit cards. I had to see a customer service agent and the line for that was 45 minutes. On my second trip I bought the tickets with a credit card through the JR East website, but I had to pick up at the tickets at the vending machines. For me the wait time was 25 minutes but the line wasn't as crazy long as in the video. Looks like they added more rope barriers. I am sure tourism to Japan has gone up a lot since my last trip.
