This is NOT a promotional video. I pay for all of my flights and hotels (and I always tell you how much!) so I can be as honest and impartial as possible. I do not receive any special treatment that wouldn’t otherwise be publicly accessible, in fact, the hotels and airlines have no idea about my visit and that’s the way I like it!

Love your pronunciation of Seletar…..
Hi Kevin, nice to see you feature Singapore's not generally well known 2nd airport, Seletar.
Thanks for this review by the way including FireFly, just a minor mention and hope you don't mind but Seletar is actually pronounced the following way, Sir-Lee-Tar.
Love your channel and unbias reviews, it truly makes my week watching and in some cases re-watching your videos, especially the ones featuring Phuket.
Hope you are intending to make some video reviews in Penang.
Thanks
They also fly to Ipoh which is a pretty chill town with many good foods as well but the public transport will be lacking.
I like their name, Firefly sounds snazzy! KLM once in a blue moon had a low cost subsidiary called BUZZ, loved that name too…much nicer than Transavia. Unfortunately that was a short lived adventure…..Thank you for the review!
I have never thought of flying as enjoyable. Flying is a chore. I heard someone say flying is like people on a cattle car. I fly to get from point a to point b. Train travel is more relaxing. Enjoyed your video – always enlightening
Hey you should check out singapore's third airport in senai, jb, they have a 4 hour flight to China which looks interesting
Very interesting video! Your reviews are always thorough and interesting. Thank you.
Firefly is a bus (coach) company here in Australia, makes more sense as an Airline name than a bus company. l think you have sat in more uncomfortable seats than this one or do you think its top of the list? "Miserable ground staff"? Do tell. This is the first time l have seen a review of this route 👍
Always nice to see a review of the XSP-SZB pair. They are a choice for people who wants nearer to the city transport from singapore – pity Changi booted them out in 2018 – your trip would have been much different.
btw the Firefly jets is the company's second attempt – the last time was back in 2011. this time around i think they are going at it a bit more sedately, and will focus mostly domestically.
Hi Kevin. I watch your videos and appreciate the extensive time and work you put into filming, editing and scripting. Thanks!
One note please… Your camera does quite a bit of strobing in two scenarios of any of your recent videos (I only began watching 6 months ago). In fluorescent lights the strobing is the worst! And sometimes in quick camera sweeps your shots are jittery/strobing (strobing: the lobby of the airport, jittery: off the plane in MY a shot panning right to left on the tarmac.) I'm not sure what either of these causes are. When I look at other YouTube travel vloggers — I watch Dan and Dan and Oscar — they shoot and edit exclusively on iPhones and I never see this issue. I wish I could give you some ideas where to look to fix this but I can't. Thanks for the hard work. 🙂
Seletar reminds me of paine field in Everett, WA ( especially now that Alaska is the only carrier there now). I do like the ATR, even though it has been 30 years since I've been on one.
If I recall correctly, HKG also has pavers in the gate part of the apron, or at least used to. As always, nice work and keep the videos coming.
Short and sweet flight, nice 😊
Being a Singaporean, its on my bucket list to fly this for sure.
What you forgot is how does one get to city center from the airport? Taxi? Bus? Train?
Thanks for this video.
Hope you enjoyed Malaysia!
Firefly includes luggage in the airfare. For slightly more than the cost of a budget airline fare, that's a good deal if you have check-in luggage.
Very helpful and interesting review. Once I stop working in the US I plan to be based in Kuala Lumpur and I'd peviously looked at both airports and the Firefly flight option. I'll live with the tight quarters on board for the convenience this offers transiting between these two cities. Cheers!
Opened this just as I woke up from my nap , got hit by ATR's engines in the face during take off, Overall a good Sunday evening.
Soon, SZB will be expanded and narrow-body jet engines planes will be allowed to flying in and out of the airport once again.
I'd go with this flight if I was flying btwn KL & Singapore.
i would be dead scared to have a propeller spinning right beside me..
Another great report – Thanks Kevin. I'm going to take a wild stab at the upcoming flight at the end of the video even though I have no clue about the destination 🙂
BKK-MEL
On Thai Airways in Business.
Nicely done!
Great video – Jetstar used to fly into Selatar so I’m familiar with the airport and it does have definite advantages
bangkok to kuala lumpur thai business
great review as always
comparison with other modes of transport would have been great given the very reasonable $68.40 fare
Another great, high-quality video! Love it! Greetings from Czechia. I have a little question. What was better for you? EVA Air’s BC or Qatar Airways’ Qsuite?
여행 혼자 다니시면 외롭지 않으시나요?
Going to The Datai Langkawi?
I dream myself flying this route but it’s quite difficult to me to get to these both airports. Love your review and thank you sm for adding maps. It helps me a lot to understand the route!!
I just found out that there will be a Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur opening sometime next year in Merdeka 118. Can't wait to see you cover that place because I'm sure you will someday!
Great review of Firefly, Kevin and welcome to Singapore!
Thank You ✈️
This was a fun little review – and educational. An airline I never heard of flying between two airports I didn't know existed, on a route I hope to be able to fly someday. Thanks Kevin.
Looking very nice an thank you for sharing.
Excellent video 👍 Really enjoyable. Love the boarding card for the information 🧡
I laughed so hard at 'Miserable ground staff'🤣
Subang Intetnational Airpirt was Kuala Lumpur's main airport (KUL) from 1965 to 1998, before the new Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Sepang was opened.
I love the little graphics you add in! Thanks for another cool review
Oh, ok, so we’ll see a BKK-MEL on TG business class on an A350!? 🤔😂
Great video as always, I love the ATRs, even with the tight config (well, I’m 5’5” 😂)!
Thanks for sharing!
