Japanese tradition at Seiryoji Temple in Sendai City – Japan. I am in a Buddhist Seiryoji Temple in Sendai City near the place where I live. I’m approaching to the old wooden chapel in front of which there are two beautiful stone Toro. I admire the wooden slots shrine made by Japanese craftsmen. On Buddhist cemetery I found on one of the tombstones this small statue of Buddha. On some of the tombstones can be seen cups of water, tea or coffee. Living family members of the deceased bring him something to drink, depending on his taste in his life. It’s part of Japanese tradition and culture. And here’s a pensive figure of Ojizosama. Isn’t she sweet? Right next there is a beautiful Japanese garden. This garden is a reflection of the ocean in the net. Small pebbles mimic the water, there are also small islands and you can even find a stone ship… See you in my next movie.
