  1. Huge thanks for these Road Trip Vlogs. I have followed the channel for years and the content has always been great, however, this series has been an absoloute joy. The two of you have done an amazing job of conveying each park the highs and lows. Sad to see this trip coming to an end, but looking forward to whatever, you do in the future. Thanks again.

  2. The rock work aside the queue for Firebird used to be part of a pirate themed water ride. It was called Typhoon Sea Coaster and truly a gem at Six Flags America. It's really a shame the park took it out and while I'm glad they brought the OG B&M to my local park, it's unfortunate that it was at the expense of TSC.

  3. Sadly, this is my home park….I think this is why I only visit here to ride Superman and go to the waterpark. I’ve always claimed KD and BGW as my home parks!😂

  4. FireBird sucks yes… but it was the FIRST B&M ever, so thats kinda cool.

And I completely agree about Wild One. Its highly underrated… over 100 years old and still holds up.

  5. Don't forget to go to Magic Springs theme park in Hot Springs Arkansas it has a coaster I think you'll find interesting

  6. I've been to this park 1 time and was not impressed at all. Only ride I like there is superman ride of steel

  7. As a lot of people mentioned here, Six Flags America is the park the Six Flags tends to ignore. The last non relocated coaster was Batwing in 2001, and the most recent coaster they got was Ragin' Cajun in 2014. It also gets low attendance due to bigger, better parks surround it (Hersheypark, King's Dominion, and Busch Gardens Williamsburg). Most people who live in Maryland usually go to one of those three parks instead.

  8. Wow, that park definitely needs some help. So odd that big areas with rides are closed off without any noticeable work being done. I hope they spruce it up & bring some life back into it. So glad the weather held off long enough for y'all to get all of the main rides in & that there were at least a couple of high quality coasters.

  9. As the closest park to the nation's capital, it's such an embarrassment. Thankfully, Hersheypark is within driving distance.

  10. This looks like a fun park! I heard there are a lot of similarities with Calif "Great America" which used to be a nice park the first 20 years or so that it was opened (I worked there in college). Sadly, the CA park is closing soon as it's been allowed to get kind of run down. Still, I'm hoping to visit before they close just for old times sake. OH- by the way, you mentioned a black squirrel? They do exsist here in the U.S., the ones out in CA are called "minky" squirrels, pretty much just like a grey squirrel, but very dark brown/black. Just looked it up, and they are more generally called "black squirrels," and they are indeed a grey squirrel that is melanisitc, so it's a color variation!

  11. Thanks for a very fair and accurate vlog about SFA, being my home park and having attended the park since the mid 80's it indeed has had some good and bad history. Operationally it's doing well, but as you mentioned there are parts of the park this year that indeed look abandoned. Hopefully there is a plan to revitalize the park and make it worth the support of the millions of people within a 90 min drive. Thanks to you two, and soeey no water rides were open 🙂

  12. So many theme parks to explore, it's great that you guys give everybody else the opportunity to explore them with you! Hopefully you've both enjoyed it as much as we have watching!!

  13. You called Firebird (Iron Wolf) just mediocre, however did not mention that its historical because it was the first coaster made by B&M as their own company. Its not only the first official B&M but it also kick started the Jim Wintrode / B&M love affair which led to him buying their first invert as well as first hyper coaster (tied with Apollo's Chariot which was built at the same time but opened first since Viriginia is a warmer climate).

Also the most interesting thing about this park is that its THE stereotype for the Kieran Burke/Gary Story era of Six Flags management, where they bought a lot of parks and just slapped a bunch of big coasters and expansions in with no thought or long-term planning whatsoever. Nowhere is this more evident than at SFA where there is a long, narrow, unthemed walkway that goes to Superman and Batwing and then just randomly dead ends. Also the irony that this park is called Six Flags America and two of its coasters are hand me downs from Great America (Iron Wolf and Ragin Cajun).

  14. Apparently they changed Thomas Town to Whistlestop Park but they closed it off for this year in addition to the Coyote Creek western themed area where the SLC is, probably due to decreased attendance.

  15. You guys will have to come back to the US to check out Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas

  16. Got some major Happy Valley vibes from this vlog! Closing a coaster so they can cut the grass sounds like something they'd do, too! 😅

  17. This park started off as Largo Wild life reserve witch had a huge collection of animals at one time. It didn’t become wild world until 1982 then it became adventure wold around 1995 or 1996 then it became six flags America in 1999. This park has never gotten any better form when i wokred here. They just started adding some invesments here and there but noting really significant. This is by far one of worst parks in the chian but nobody wants to talk about that and also as you can see that yourself. Coyote Creek was closed for what ever reason but you where not missing anying other than the wore SLC on the planet. I kind of figured you wouldnt care to much for this park other than to get credits witch is perfectly understandable.

  18. Unfortunately, the 2 Six Flags I've been to, have both needed TLC on ground level. Both looked kinda shabby. I hope that the TLC that they do have is focused on ride maintenance. Safety first! 🥰⛑️

  19. Yeah Shawn and Charlotte this park was much busiest back in 2019 when I went. They had a huge railway called capital railways and the kids area was called whistle stop park. It had a miniature train ride as well but they couldn’t run both trains at the same time

  20. Sorry for delay watching I’ve been in hospital. Shame bout weather glad you got on all coasters 1 park to go 😢😢😢😢 so sad been an awesome trip. ❤Lisa awesome video guys

  21. Great coverage folks!! Terribly sorry about this park. Except for Superman, this Park is the island of misfit rides. It’s a local park for me, but we only go to Kings dominion, Busch gardens, or Hershey Park.

  22. Is Roar the oldest operating GCI now, with Wildcat and the other Roar being RMC'd? That would give them both the oldest B&M and the oldest remaining GCI. And a clone of the oldest Intamin Hyper. Combined with a historic woodie and one of the last Flying Dutchmen (and I expect this one to stick around for longer than the Carowinds one will), it's a bit of a museum park.

  23. Strange how some of the mid-course break runs in some of the coasters (Firebird and Joker's Jynx) have been removed, leaving awkward straight track.

  24. Was a home park of mine for a year. It's a decent place but it's worrying how much they've lost over the years and how dead the park is most of the time.

  25. Thank you for your hard work. We have in Western New York Six Flags Darien Lake and as you know we have the ride of steel which is the same ride as Superman ride of steel. Its the same ride but instead of a right turn you have a left turn. Please consider coming to Western New York on your next American trip.

  26. Hello,I'm new to your channel, and I love what you guys do,keep up the good work😀..six flags America used to be my home park, now my home park is Hershey park.🥰🥰🥰

  27. Many people consider this park the worst park in the Six Flags chain, and it's not even close. It really does look dated and really run down … it has been neglected for years. It's pretty much Six Flag's version of Dorney Park – not terrible, but it's nothing special. If I'm being honest, it's a little disappointing.

  28. I know others have already said it, BUT- I MUST WARN EVERYONE! IF YOU ARE THINKING OF GOING HERE….. DON’T! GO TO BUSCH GARDENS, KINGS DOMINION OR HERSHEY PARK!! THIS SIX FLAGS IS A DISGRACE!!!!

  29. Its amazing that some of the parks you visited were so quiet, they wouldnt last 10 mins here and they would close, wonder how they do it

  30. Fire Bird aka iron wolf B&M first coaster was god awful as a stand up coaster. It would have been a bad day for you if gotten the credit as a stand up.

  31. Hi shawn and Charlotte, I always enjoy your enthusiasm for parks that aren't that great . This park really needs updating it's a shame it's not so good . Thanks for all your hard work you have done over the past month. Bringing us these fun filled days with such great enthusiasm. Love you both you always make me smile 😊. Thanks for sharing with us. Love to you both as always Tracey 💕 xxxx
