  6. 4:30 Oh dearโ€ฆ no more express boat from Kuching to Sibu? Thatโ€™s sadโ€ฆ
    7:38 Thatโ€™s a nice spot to catch the sunsetโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜Š
10:16 Sibu was started by the Foochows when some of them were brought over from Fujian during the reign of Rajah Charles Brooke. Thereโ€™s a place somewhere in the suburbs where you can try making noodlesโ€ฆ but you need to contact them for an appointment.
33:20 You are right, Naomi. Sibu is rather underrated. Most people come to Sarawak for the national parks near Kuching, the Mulu Caves via Miri… But least visited by tourists would be the town of Kapit upriver from Sibu. It has only been connected by tar sealed road probably in the last couple of years. Prior to that, the only way up there would be by the river express boat. A few of those now has been converted as a river cruise boats. If you guys are still in Sibu, see if you can check them out.

Night market – Since I was a boy, we family visited night market every Saturday night.

The Pasar Sentral (Central Market) – my memories there in the late 90s, when having meal with my late mom.

I remember walking around Sibu for lunch when I was a legal clerk in Sibu in age of early 20s. thank you guys for bringing me back memories. I am now residing in Kuching.

  10. First of all thank you for coming to Sarawak. The other YouTubers would just stick to KL & claim that theyโ€™ve seen it all in Malaysia. Not you two. You two are experiencing the real Malaysian adventure. Well done ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Iโ€™m a Sarawakian I salute your effort in wanting to know about my home state. Let me tell you this; itโ€™s not the high rise buildings, buzzing cities or mega malls that make a country, itโ€™s the people, food, culture that matter. Luke & Naomi, youโ€™ve come at the right place.
