After washing the car, we got some gas and drove about an hour from Kitakyushu to the Fukuoka Berry Farm in Munakata. Spotted a cool Suzuki Cappuccino along the way! Got a ton of strawberries with the kids and had a great time. One cool thing that is different from back home is the “fields” are inside of vinyl enclosures, so that even if it is raining or otherwise miserable outside, you can still come inside to pick strawberries. In America, you are exposed to the elements. At least with my experience as a kid in Northern California it was all outdoor fields. Never in the States have I seen an enclosure like they run in Japan.
Also, those strawberries at the end were the nastiest strawberries I have ever tasted in my life.
