Hidden in the trees, standing stoically atop a Hill in Wakayama Prefecture, lies the Mori No Mori no Haiyokan – Japan’s MOST Haunted Mansion. This Western and Japanese Mixed Style building is a deserted home with over 100 years of History. Originally the home of Asajiro Yura, born in 1878 and the descended of the Kishu Tokugawa Clan. Asajiro took over his families dye company in 1914 when the German Empire halted shipments of certain chemicals crucial to Japan’s Dye Industry. Being the first to successfully refine industrial grade Benzene in Japan his family became fabulously weathly, so much so that with his involvement in the Sino-Japanese and World War II, it is rumoured that the actual plans to attack Pearl Harbor took place in his very house…join us as we explore the hidden mansion in the forest.
