  1. Love how you summarized and showcased each of the must get items while in Hawaii! I need to get back to Hawaii soon….lol.

  2. I make loko moko a couple of times a month. It is very comforting. I also make lomi lomi salmon. No, I'm not in Hawai'i. I'm in Wyoming!

  3. Really nice video. If you are staying in Waikiki these places are a fine sample of good local food.

  4. Also try Waiola's Shave Ice (good to have options in case travel plans change) travel tip: always expect a line for shave ice, especially on a hot day– but it is always worth it!

  5. Aaahh, I wanna make ck long rice. It's super easy to make and yummy!! Great way to use one of those rotisserie cks! Missing Hawaiian food, although we made some laulau the other day. Yay for freezers letting us store some staples!

  6. You are not just food ambassadors for Japan but for Hawaii too. Great job promoting the foods, all looks delish! 😋😋

  7. You guys are making me yearn for Oahu! I can taste the poke! The Costco version is pretty good there, too! (not in Honolulu)

  8. Thank you for sharing all of these! The Lunch Plate had me drooling, 🤤 but the Shaved Ice with the Calamansi (Philippine Lime) flavour mixed with the rest, had me REALLY hungry! Calamansi is one of my favourite citrus fruits, and I would definitely wait in line to try the shaved ice you both got!

  9. Delicious looking food! Probably a weird question, but anybody remember this older japanese cooking channel, the name had something to do with runny eggs, I'm sure! lol. The name has eluded me for so long and I haven't found it.

  10. As there is no butter in chantilly, I suppose it's crème au beurre (butter cream) on the top of the choux. It ressembles a lot to a kind of religieuse cake.
Thank you for the visit !

  11. Just go down the street to Times for the tako poke. Or even Keaaumoku Seafood. Plenty of spots within a 5 minute distance if Foodland runs out for the day 😊

  12. One day, if you have not visited, try Pig and the Lady or Haleiwa Joe's. Fresh Catch, for Poke.

  13. My wife (from Japan) and I (grew up in Honolulu) love your videos.

Please do consider not promoting seven, staba, maku, Foodland and other big corporations. There are sooooo many family businesses in Hawaii that need a helping hand. Suggesting that people go to seven for the best spam musubi is… Well, let's just say shinaihogayokata.

Please go find us really the best spam Musubi.

    Love you guys!

    Matt and Mimi

  14. Oooooh, so nostalgic for me! Plate lunches at the Rainbow Drive-in, malasada from Leonard's, and manapua anywhere I could get one. 😋 Every time you do Hawaii content, I want to move back to live pono and be surrounded by beauty and aloha spirit. ❤❤

  15. We love you boys!!! Always bring a smile to my face when I watch your videos. Keep up the good work.

  16. This makes me want to visit Hawaii just for the food! I didn't know about manapua until today but now I'm dying for one!

  17. My go to at Rainbows is the hamburger steak plate or the Portuguese sausage, eggs easy over with chili on the rice. For poke my favorite is Tanioka’s in Waipahu. Love their ahi and tako poke, great musubi’s there as well. They have a good okinawan sweet potato haupia dessert. Been going to Sekiya’s for over 60 years, the original shop was on Kapahulu Avenue back in the day.

  18. ココパフ/中身

     シャンティクリーム
    か、
     ホイップクリーム
    が、
     バンザイ🙌!

  19. Do malasadas usually contain dairy products? I’d like to try them, but I have a severe dairy intolerance. If malasadas contain milk, I’ll stick to shave ice instead.

  20. We had a place called Aloha Hawaiian BBQ in my city of Columbus, Ohio but they closed a few years ago. It was some of the best food. I ate there 1-2 times a week. Spam musubi became one of my favorite things to eat along with Japenese beef bowl and chicken katsu. I never did try the Loco Moco which I regret now. lol. I miss this place so much.
