Excellent recommendation of a great, FREE 360-degree view of London. I took your advice and booked a time slot at Sky Garden on the first day bookings opened—it was 3 weeks before I wanted to visit. The view of The Tower of London, Tower Bridge, and The Thames was better than our actual visit to these places.
I found this channel yesterday, but I know already… she hates Leicester square 😂
We went to the Sky Garden this week. The views are spectacular. Overall, it's a much better experience than the London Eye.
Thank you very much, hopefully I will visit London soon.
There is only one good reason to visit Leicester Sq. Surprisingly, it might have the best Indian street food cafe in London. I stumbled upon Apna Adda the last time I was walking through the area and it is incredible. And surprisingly cheap too. Extremely authentic Indian street food in the midst of Leicester Sq. Go figure.
going to london next month and your channel has been super helpful! thank you
Love it very nice view of London the aftoonoon tee is good
Just one small update. It is no longer £1.65 for the bus fare – it’s gone up to £1.75 (let’s see how much it will increase next year when I revisit this video) 😂 – very good tips!!!!
Thank you!!!!
I guess that kid singing in Leicester square is there all the time
Great tips! Love your videos. Btw, Route 11 no longer covers all those stops and has been shortened, looks like.
Well done with this video.
Welle we went to London 4 years ago and really enjoyed London Eye,Dungeon,Shrek and aquarium.
You can get on a regular bus but w/o the commentary you won’t know what you are driving by or seeing. I say take the hop on hop off.
The thing with Tussaud's is that the wax figures just aren't very good. Taking selfies with them certainly won't fool anyone. I have seen wax works in other countries that are far more lifelike.
Absolutely love your videos!! THank you!!
Having just gone back from London, totally agree with Leicester Square. Only reason I went there was to pass through it to get somewhere else as going through there was the shortest way possible.
The only time I go to Leicster Square is to go to the Odeon
First time visitor, great tips!
I´m using your videos to learn english and geting their great tips !!! thank you !
Insightful! Having lived in London, I can 100% validate all of the suggestions in this video. Definitely agree with Soho>Leciester Sq! Also, the double-decker bus tip is genius! A game changer and money saver. Nice work Jess!
Excellent advice. The awful 4 are exactly described. Let me add another outside London. Stonehenge. You can see it for free from the nearby highway.
really hard to get skygarden tickets..
Disagree with you a bit about the topless busses, yes the public busses are good and you should definitely use them but if you don't know the city at all then jumping on one of the open top busses and getting taken round the main things to start with and given an idea about the city to start with is a good plan. You can then go to the things you want to, an alternative would be the river tours, which you could do on the tfl waterferries but the commentary pointing out what you're going past is worth it if you're not from London. Lots of the best things in London are free anyway – all the galleries and museums. Other than that agree with the rest.
I’ll have to disagree with the sea life aquarium. That place was so cool. And if you have little kids it’s so worth it. THEY HAVE PENGUINS. Just don’t do the ticket bundle for all 4 of what she said lol but the aquarium was definitely fun
At the start, it looks as though you have a giant halo. 😂
Yeah really good tips and reviews, speaking as a Londoner. A pity about Leicester Square but it really is soulless….but also so close to Soho as stated and loads of other areas close by. that are more worth a visit. Great video.
Thank you , such a great useful video . Looking forward to explore London this summer
Actually prefer the Awful Four to your own choices!
Excellent video as always! I've always wondered what the Eurostar experience was like, and now I'm well-informed 👍🏻
Thank you so much. You just saved us around £80 with the double decker bus tip ❤
The Aquarium is a nice place to visit, especially if you are with the kids. I agree with the London Eye instead. Is expensive and doesn't offer a great view. At 36 pounds it's simply not worth it!
Very nice
Really great advise and suggestions
You are making london sounds attractive to me.
