  1. In addition to not having younger native born people there's a very low amount of immigration compared to most countries, such as the US. That in itself is a complex topic that is has to with culture, high population density and many other factors. I know there's a conversation in Japanese politics to bring in foreign workers at least temporary in fields like health care, construction, and IT. They probably wouldn't bring in food service workers but the US has hospitality workers train here before ruining to their home counties

  2. I remember this issue being brought up by my Japanese professor about 15 years ago, and it is fascinating to see the adaptation take place. Such an amazing country ❤
